Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the new performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, and beyond. Starring Emmy and Tony winner Andrea Martin with Seth Rudetsky, acclaimed singer/pianist Tony Desare, Tony nominees Dee Hoty, Christiane Noll and Christine Andreas, as well as award-winning vocalist Tom Judson and the fabulous dragapella beauty shop quartet The Kinsey Sicks.

The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, is pleased to announce the Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which takes place over three consecutive weeks in October. The Broadway Cabaret Festival begins on Saturday, October 13th at 8pm with Linda Eder: A New Life, and continues on Sunday, October 21st at 3pm with Broadway Originals!. The Festival concludes on Friday, October 26th at 8pm with The Best of Broadway by the Year. The Broadway Cabaret Festival is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall.

PS Classics, the label dedicated to the heritage of Broadway and American popular song, released the two-disc set Broadway cast album of the Kennedy Center's acclaimed revival of FOLLIES on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Since then, the Metropolitan Museum of Art requested permission from PS Classics to include "Broadway Baby" in an upcoming compilation disc. Because the track on the New Broadway Cast Recording includes brief reprises of other tunes, Jayne Houdyshell kindly went back into the studio to record a new solo ending.

Yesterday, June 5, theatre legend Patti LuPone opened the new nightclub and restaurant, 54 Below, with a two-week engagement of a new act that will run through June 16. Before the star took the stage for the evening performance, she treated the press to a special sneak peek of the show and BroadwayWorld was there to talk to the star and capture her memorable performance!

Yesterday, June 5, theatre legend Patti Lupone opened the new nightclub and restaurant, 54 Below, with a two-week engagement of a new act that will run through June 16. LuPone will play the venue Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Fridays and Saturdays at 11pm. New York's cabaret community just came together to celebrate the legacy of its late great impresario Donald F. Smith in a free public concert. Donald F. Smith, Executive Director and Founder of The Mabel Mercer Foundation, passed away in March, 2012. He created the New York Cabaret Convention 27 years ago. For many years it was held at Town Hall, a building he was instrumental in preserving as a New York City landmark.

The Game of Love is based The Anatol Plays by Arthur Schnitzler.
