Starring Emmy and Tony winner Andrea Martin with Seth Rudetsky, acclaimed singer/pianist Tony Desare, Tony nominees Dee Hoty, Christiane Noll and Christine Andreas, as well as award-winning vocalist Tom Judson and the fabulous dragapella beauty shop quartet The Kinsey Sicks.

Tune in to watch CHAPLIN star Rob McClure on NY-1's "On Stage" this weekend. Rob talks with NY-1's Donna Karger about his preparation and the thrill of playing film icon Charlie Chaplin on Broadway. "On Stage" airs Saturday, 10/6 and Sunday, 10/7 at 9:30am and 7:30pm and Monday, 10/8 (early morning Tuesday, 10/9) at 12:30am.

This week - it's all about CHAPLIN! Broadway's new musical CHAPLIN opened on September 10 at the Barrymore Theatre. CHAPLIN depicts the life of film icon Charlie Chaplin, with music and lyrics by Christopher Curtis and book by three-time Tony Award-winner Thomas Meehan and Christopher Curtis. Warren Carlyle directs and choreographs the production.

The annual Broadway Cabaret Festival returns this October 13, 21 & 26, 2012. Experience an extravaganza of Broadway talent in three extraordinary cabaret concerts from classic favorites to contemporary Broadway, from the newest stars to venerated icons, this is the Festival New York theatre fans have been waiting for.

While nobody ever said musical theatre was easy – at least, nobody with any real knowledge of the art – you would think that in writing a musical about the first worldwide beloved figure of the 20th Century there wouldn't be too much trouble establishing empathy.  But the surprisingly dry and emotionless Chaplin, presented in a respectably strong Broadway production, tries to cram so many facts into its two acts that there's Little Room left for feeling.

Maplewood, NJ is a Rockwell-esque little nook where theatre people with families hideaway beneath the oak trees. Three years ago, when baby #2 made his appearance, my husband and I took a deep breath and plunged our lives, head first, into this quaint suburban haven. (Full disclosure, I cried in my cross-over vehicle as we waved goodbye to a decade of memories in our Upper West Side apartment).

The writing team of a new Broadway-bound musical, inspired by the once shockingly explicit 1928 D.H. Lawrence masterpiece, Lady Chatterley's Lover, is turning to the Internet to fundraise for an industry reading to be held in New York City in late fall. With its notarity abroad and questionable content at the time of its conception, the music and content aims to bring a story to the stage that bridges the gap between so many of our personal and internal battles and unite us in a constant search for spiritual love and the drive that empowers us to find it.

The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street), New York's landmark theatre and concert venue, is pleased to announce the Eighth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival, which takes place over three consecutive weeks in October. The Broadway Cabaret Festival begins on Saturday, October 13th at 8pm with Linda Eder: A New Life, and continues on Sunday, October 21st at 3pm with Broadway Originals!.
