Pride Films and Plays is proud to announce the launch of the second annual Great Gay Screenplay Contest. This contest seeks new screenplays that not only speak to the LGBT community, but are essential viewing for our friends, family, and co-workers.

Katy Visual & Performing Art Center's Encore Players gave it their all in their final performance of The Diary of Anne Frank on Sunday afternoon. The play, directed by Tina Morille, along with Assistant Director Jordan Morille, was, in Morille's words 'about real people, during a real time in history, being forced to undergo real feelings and raw emotion in a literal and metaphorical cramped space.'
KVPAC's Encore Players are currently in rehearsal with the transcendently powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman of The Diary of Anne Frank from the original stage play by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett. Directed by Tina Morille, this Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play will run two weekends, February 11-13 and 18-20, 2011. All shows will begin at 8:00pm, except for Sunday's performances which are matinees and will begin at 2:00pm.

and ?Beauty and the Beast'. Directed by Amy Barrineau, this production features Adam Turner as the Beast. Adam, doing double duty for this show as the choreographer, was previously seen in Encore Player's production of Something's Afoot last fall.
