EH UP, ME OLD FLOWERS! The story of Charlie Williams to be Presented at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August

In the 1970s the biggest comedy show on television was ITV’s The Comedians. And the breakout star, the one who shone brightest of all… was Charlie. Eh Up Me Old Flowers is written by Chris England, whose stage writing includes two plays that began life at the Edinburgh Fringe. The play will run at Edinburgh Fringe from 8-29 August.

With Donald Trump's social media habits regularly causing a stir worldwide, it seems quite apt for the latest Park Theatre production to focus on this wide-ranging topic. Chris England's play Twitstorm revolves around popular TV host Guy Manton's spectacular fall from grace as a tweet from his official account causes widespread offence, and engulfs his entire life.

Whatsonstage.com reports that The Menier Chocolate Factory is premiering a new play by Jonathan Lewis and Miranda Foster. The husband/wife writing team's last play, Our Boys, was a hit at the Donmar Warehouse in 1995.
