Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) along with event chairs Randy and Sandy Stilley welcomed 380 guests to the Who Dunnit? Gala on at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 23. Adorned in attire befitting an Edwardian murder mystery, TUTS supporters and theatre aficionados dined, danced and participated in an original presentation from TUTS - an interactive musical. Musical Theatre Guild, the winner of the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Margaret Harford Award for sustained excellence in the theatre, will open their 2014-2015 season with the multiple Tony Award nominated musical SWEET SMELL OF SUCCESS. According to the NY Post, Nicholas Hytner's West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors, which will soon begin a run at the Adelphi Theatre is looking to make its way to Broadway in the sprig 2012 season. Micheal Reidel writes: 'Producer Bob Boyett is laying the groundwork for a Broadway transfer in time for the Tony cutoff date in April. He has to strike some sort of deal with Actors Equity so he can bring Corden and the rest of the British cast -- Jemima Rooper, Oliver Chris, Daniel Rigby, Tom Edden -- with the production.'

Curtain Call Players manage to successfully make the epic musical TITANIC work on a smaller stage. A huge ensemble of 50 ensures the choral aspects of the score are excitingly presented, and although the director cannot completely solve some of the show's more obstinate problems, the production generated an enthusiastic response from the opening night audience. * * * * (out of 5)
