Join celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy when she hosts an evening of her Multi MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie deRoy & friends, on Friday, December 28th (7PM) at Manhattan's cabaret hot-spot Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street ~ btw. 5th & 6th Avenues).

The Mystery of Edwin Drood is playing a limited engagement at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street) through March 10th, 2013. The original end date was February 10th, 2013. Yesterday the cast gatherd at DRG Records to record the cast album of the new 2012 Broadway production. The cast album will be a two-disc set that will also include a new Act Two opening number, additional ballet music from Puffer's opium den, an additional Act One track not previously recorded and eight tracks featuring the confession of each murderer. World-class jazz pianist Hal Schaefer died this past Saturday morning, December 8, at his home in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He was 88 years old and still active.

Stage Door Records have announced the release of Broadway legend Chita Rivera's debut solo albums 'Chita!' (1962) and 'And Now I Sing!' (1963). Presented in glorious stereo sound, these digitally remastered recordings make their debut on CD.

SILENCE! The Musical will end its 18-month run Sunday evening, December 30th at the Elektra Theatre. The production will have played a total of 447 performances and eight previews. Originally announced as a strictly limited engagement through August 13, 2011, SILENCE! was extended numerous times by popular demand and transferred theatres twice, ultimately landing at the new Elektra Theatre in the heart of Times Square, which was constructed especially for the show. SILENCE! spawned an L.A. production, which is currently running through this Sunday, December 9th at the Hayworth Theatre starring Davis Gaines and Christine Lakin.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced a four week extension of the critically acclaimed new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award® winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Jim Norton and Chita Rivera, stars of Roundabout Theatre Company's (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) new Broadway production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood, will be guests on WOR's "The Joan Hamburg Show" today, December 5 from 1:30PM - 2PM. WOR broadcasts throughout the tri-state area on 710 AM from 12:00PM - 2:00PM.

Casting is complete for the world premiere of Amandine, the new musical from writer Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne, who is known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award-winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals). The production will run January 9-26, 2013 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage. Critics are welcome as of January 13 for an official opening on January 16.
