Joan Raffe, Jhett Tolentino, and Douglas Denoff announced today that two time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro's 'delightfully deceitful' comedy, Clever Little Lies, will play off-Broadway's Westside Theatre Upstairs (407 West 43rd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues), following critically acclaimed, sold-out runs at George Street Playhouse in 2013 and Guild Hall last summer. Starring Emmy, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award-winner Marlo Thomas and direction by David Saint, Clever Little Lies will begin previews on Friday, September 18th for an exclusive limited engagement through January 3rd, 2016. The official opening night is set for Wednesday, October 14th.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Tony Award® - winning actor and Tony Award - nominated director, Roger Rees, who passed away on Fridayat age 71. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in his memory on Wednesday, July 15th, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

It was just back in late-May when we reported that Roger Rees, then starring in THE VISIT on Broadway opposite Chita Rivera had departed the show on a medical leave. Today, we are sad to share the news that the star passed away on Friday evening, at home in New York at 71. According to a statement from his publicist, he passed away at home after battling a brief illness.

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its air-conditioned doors once again for the annual Sizzlin' Summer Nights Series. Two and a half weeks of live music and performances by Signature favorites, DC area stars, and some of New York's most exciting Broadway performers. On the morning of June 5 at the Actors Fund Nursing Home in Englewood NJ, the Jazz and Tap teacher Phil Black passed away after fighting Parkinson's disease for over 20 years.

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre (NCT) will present the new musical "ACE" in a fully-staged concert setting for two performances only on Saturday and Sunday, August 22 and 23, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Judy Bayley Theatre.  This special concert presentation is a benefit for the NCT with all proceeds going to help fund the ongoing work of the prestigious cultural institution.
