The Chicago Philharmonic Society will present and perform Marvel Studios' Black Panther in Concert at the historic Chicago Theatre, 175 N State St, Chicago, June 18, 2022 at 7:30 pm, the weekend of Juneteenth.

Brandon Coleman shares a brand new video, “Be With Me,” directed by Lauren Desberg and the latest from his upcoming album Interstellar Black Space via Brainfeeder. The album was announced with lead single “Blast Off” and will feature contributions from fellow jazz heavyweights Kamasi Washington, Ryan Porter, and more.

Jazz at Lincoln Center announced its May and June 2022 programming at Dizzy’s Club, featuring a diverse lineup of club favorites and rising stars alongside the launch of a new concert series, special events, and celebrations of giants of jazz history from Slide Hampton and Ralph Peterson to Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Thelonious Monk.

Flora had the honour of working with Chick Corea as one of the founding members of the Return To Forever band and this song was first recorded by them in October 1972 at IBC Studio in London shortly after several weeks of performing a residency at Ronnie Scott’s. It was originally released in 1973 on the band’s second album Light As A Feather.

THE DJANGO, downtown Manhattan’s premier jazz club, is celebrating the next generation of jazz with a special concert series this month. During the month of May, The Django welcomes rising stars as part of its new Next Gen Series.

Following postponement due to the Omicron surge in January, Jazz at Lincoln Center will honor the music and legacy of late jazz icon Chick Corea in Rose Theater on April 15–16 at 8:00 p.m. with Celebrating Chick Corea.
