Acclaimed theater company Playwrights Horizons has announced additional performers participating in the return of its popular benefit evening STORIES ON 5 STORIES: Poetic Justice on Monday evening, October 22.

On Monday, October 15, 2012, Sir Elton John continued his humanitarian efforts to raise money for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and awareness programs across the United States, the Americas, and the Caribbean at the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF)'s 11th annual benefit An Enduring Vision held at Cipriani Wall Street (55 Wall Street). American Airlines, The Kraft Group, and Wells Fargo served as the Presenting Sponsors of the benefit, and the star-studded evening raised $2 million for the Foundation. The National Basketball Association (NBA), NASCAR Diversity, Major League Baseball (MLB), Major League Soccer and Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) will also participate through social media.

Amandine, ten years in the making, is a collaboration between three of New York City's most distinctive theater artists: Winter Miller, 13P founding member who penned In Darfur (The Public Theater), among other acclaimed plays; Lance Horne, Emmy Award-winning composer and pianist known for his own work and collaborations with Alan Cumming, Amanda Palmer, Meow Meow, Sandra Bernhard and Justin Vivian Bond; and Drama Desk Award- winning director Josh Hecht (Christine Jorgensen Reveals), who specializes in new plays. Amandine is a singular love story, inspired by the incredible memoirs of Herculine Barbin, a 19th century intersex person who was raised a girl and died a man. The ensemble cast includes Broadway veterans Lea DeLaria, Nathan Lee Graham and Alexandra Silber, in a world premiere at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street) main stage January 8-26, 2013.

IFC Films announced that The company has acquired all North American rights to director Michael Walker's comedy PRICE CHECK. Walker also wrote the screenplay for the film, with Parker Posey, Eric Mabius, Annie Parisse, Josh Pais, Cheyenne Jackson, and Edward Herrmann starring. Dolly Hall produced the picture, which made its world premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. IFC Films will release the film on VOD today, October 11th and theatrically on November 16th.

After being in the works at the NBC network for several seasons, Deadline reports that Bryan Fuller's 'Munsters' reboot will most likely not go to series. The project, to be titled MOCKINGBIRD LANE was to be a reworked version of the 1960's classic comedy 'The Munsters.'

On March 10, 2012, stars of Broadway joined some of the biggest names in entertainment at a black-tie gala for the Opening Night of the new Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas.
