WHBPAC to Present Swazzle's DREAM CARVER, 2/3-5

As part of its School Day Performances Series, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents Swazzle's bilingual family musical Dream Carver, for ages 6 - 11, at 10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 3, Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5. After much demand, that little caterpillar is returning to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, along with an assortment of favorite puppet characters. Young children ages 3 - 7 will be awed and amazed by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's lively, family friendly production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Stories today, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 at 12:30pm.

As part of its School Day Performances Series, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center presents Slam Poetry by the Mayhem Poets, a trio of "spoken word" poets, on Tuesday, December 10 at 10am & 12:30pm and on Wednesday, December 11 at 10am. The performance is for young people ages 12 - 18 and runs about 50 minutes. All tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling Cheryl Wheeler at 631-288-2350, ext 102.

Over sixty of the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center's dedicated volunteers gathered at the Quogue Village Beach Club for a special 15th Anniversary Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the WHBPAC's Advisory Council on Tuesday, June 4. The event was organized to honor and celebrate the work and support provided to the theatre by a legion of community volunteers. To salute their efforts, the Volunteer Council was treated to a beach party luncheon at the Quogue Village Beach Club that included a barbeque catered by The Quogue Country Market. WHBPAC Arts Education Hosts SWAN LAKE Ballet Program, Now thru 5/5

Based on the overwhelming success of the Summer Ballet Camp and Nutcracker Ballet Program, young dancers will now have the opportunity to spread their wings during the spring as the WHBPAC Arts Education program introduces Dancecore's new Swan Lake Ballet Program. This residency, running from today, February 26 - May 5, not only provides high quality dance instruction, but also gives young people the thrill of performing alongside ballet professionals on the WHBPAC stage. Students will be placed in groups according to age and will rehearse and receive ballet instruction over the course of nine weeks. Registration is now open.

Calling all teens who live to perform! Auditions are happening now for exciting new opportunities with the WHBPAC's Arts Education Program. Teens can now participate in two brand new classes - 'The Inside Jokes' Theatre Improv Troupe and 'The Hamp-Tones' A Cappella Vocal Group - the only performing arts classes of its kind on the East End.

Register for LOU & THE COUNTRY BEAST Winter Break Camp at WHBPAC, 2/18-22

The WHBPAC Arts Education Program is looking for 60 local children, ages 5 -16, who want to participate in its Winter Break Musical Theatre Camp. This year, the camp will present Beauty Lou & The Country Beast, an original country western adaptation of the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. The camp will meet daily, Monday, February 18 - Friday, February 22 from 9am - 4pm and the performance will be presented to the public on Friday, February 22 at 7pm. The fee is $400.
