Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) releases their latest podcasts through TRUpods: October's panel 'Women Producers: What They Uniquely Bring to the Table;' November's 'Understanding Off-Broadway: Defining and Achieving Success;' and December's 'Beyond Broadway: A Broader Perspective on Developing New Musicals.' TRUpods also hosts a selection of the last two years of TRU panels and selected workshops, including modules from three popular Producer Boot Camps: 'Recognizing Commercial Potential,' 'Weekend Intensive for Showcase Producing' and 'Essentials of Self-Producing.' Podcasts are free for members of TRU, $10 per podcast for non-members. Baryshnikov Arts Center Presents Anton Batagov & Attacca Quartet in World Premiere

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) opens its Spring 2018 Music Series with Anton Batagov and the Attacca Quartet on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Jerome Robbins Theater. This varied evening of music features the World Premiere of Different Things from influential post-minimalist Russian composer and pianist Anton Batagov, paired with Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 18, No. 6. Batagov's Different Things will be performed by the composer (at the piano) and the Attacca Quartet, one of America's premier young string ensembles, along with Kris Saebo, double bass; Linda Jones, soprano; Luthien Brackett, mezzo soprano; Andrew Fuchs, tenor; and Steven Hrycelak, bass.

You can't stop the beat in the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's big and bold Broadway blockbuster about one girl's inspiring dream to dance! Onstage January 9 through 28, the smash hit musical Hairspray kicks off the New Year at the Theatre. The musical takes place in 1962 Baltimore, where Tracy Turnblad a girl with big hair and an even bigger heart is on a mission to dance her way onto national TV. When her dream comes true on the Corny Collins Show, Tracy transforms from social outcast to teen superstar and sets out to integrate the show.
