Partial Comfort Productions (Drama Desk nominee A Bright New Boise) kicks off it's 11th season with the World Premiere of AND MILES TO GO by Chad Beckim. Directed by Hal Brooks (Pulitzer Prize finalist Thom Pain), previews begin October 2 at The Wild Project. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 10.

Sundance Institute and the LUMA Foundation previously announced that the two organizations would collaborate to host The Sundance Institute | LUMA Foundation Theatre Directors Retreat at Domaine de l'Armelliere, today, July 29 - August 9, in Arles, France. Under the supervision of Philip Himberg, Artistic Director of The Sundance Institute Theatre Program, Producing Director Christopher Hibma and Program Associate Anne Kauffman, the Retreat will be the first theatre director-centered residency at the Institute.

Victory Gardens Theater presents the world premiere of Mojada by VG Associate Artist Luis Alfaro, directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Mojada began performances on July 12, prior to its official opening tonight. The production runs through August 11, 2013 at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theatre, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue. The Nominating Committee attends all productions during the Broadway season and meets on the date designated by the Administration Committee to determine, by vote, the Tony Award nominees for that season. The committee of Tony Nominators, which has been expanded to 46 members for the 2013-2014 season, includes:

Bailiwick Chicago Theater concludes its 2012/13 season with the world premiere of the family drama MAHAL by Resident Playwright Danny Bernardo, directed by Erica Weiss, playing today, June 26 - August 2, 2013 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

They tell the story (based on a true one) of Guang (Julius Ahn), an illegal immigrant who gets stuck in a Bronx elevator for 81 hours while making deliveries for the Happy Dragon Chinese Restaurant.

Long Wharf Theatre and the International Festival of Arts and Ideas will present Stuck Elevator, written by New Haven resident Aaron Jafferis, with music by Byron Au Yong, directed by Chay Yew, from tonight, June 20-29.

Victory Gardens and the One-Minute Play Festival (OMPF) present the Third Annual Chicago One-Minute Play Festival, an evening of micro-plays by sixty of Chicago's top playwrights, directed by ten Chicago directors. OMPF benefits the Miller Match campaign and will be presented for two performances only, today, June 17 and Tuesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park.

In the summer of 2012, while celebrating the success of Vintage Theater's production of 'The Joy Luck Club,' cast mates Tria Xiong and Maria Cheng sparked an idea for a new venture. After a glass of wine [or two], they realized with utter certainty, the need for an Asian American company in Colorado's theater climate, and thus, like all great wine-induced ideas, Theatre Esprit Asia (TEA) was born.
