Performing and visual artists are banding together in Save NYSSSA Now to relaunch arts programming for talented high school students in the 52-year old New York Summer School for the Arts, known as NYSSSA. Despite an even greater need for student expression, the program has not been scheduled for 2024.
Recently, star of Broadway's CHICAGO and pop singer Brandy Norwood mentored children from MSG's Garden of Dreams Foundation (who will all be starring in the Garden of Dreams Talent Show on June 18 at Radio City Music Hall). Scroll down for a peek at Brandy with the kids!
On Monday, May 18th at 7 p.m., performing arts high schools from four boroughs will present samples of their best work of the year at Circle in the Square Theatre. Book of Mormon cast member and Circle in the Square Theatre School alumnus Christian Dante White will welcome the performers and inspire them to keep their dream alive. This annual event is the centerpiece of Circle in the Square Theatre School's Teens on Broadway program.
