Night In Wonderland includes current West End stars including: Charlotte Wakefield (Spring Awakening/Holby City), Chlöe Hart (fresh from playing Tracy Turnblad in the closing production of Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre) and Jeremy Legat (Wicked & Oliver!), together with a handful of special guests from London, beautifully accompanied by a charming three-piece jazz band and talking about their life in the world of showbiz.
The Royal Shakespeare Company has been promoting their current run of Romeo and Juliet using the latest social networking phenomenon- Twitter. The project, entitled 'Such Tweet Sorrow,' will continue for the next five weeks.
Following Sunday night's Olivier Awards, a rush of Tweets wondered if Spring Awakening might be revived due to its success. Its two Welsh leads, Aneurin Barnard and Iwan Rheon, received a double win as Best Actor in a Musical and Best Supporting Performance in a Musical respectively. While the show recieved penty of critical plaudits, the musical failed to survive longer than five weeks in the West End after its transfer from its sold-out Lyric Hammersmith run. Could a West End revival really be in the works, or is this just wishful thinking?
