Strauss-Led AT HOME AT THE ZOO Launches Victory Gardens '10-'11 Season

Victory Gardens Theater Artistic Director Dennis Zacek announced today exciting plans for the company's 38th season, promising 'new and compelling stories that transform, entertain and reflect the human condition.' The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust culminates Black History Month with its regular Showcase Noir: African American Artist and Designer Exhibit and Sale and the special presentation of Grammy-award-winning South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Showcase Noir opens at 11am on Sunday, February 28, in the Byham Theater lobby. Ladysmith Black Mambazo performance closes the evening with their 7 p.m. performance in the theater. Cohen & Grigsby is the season sponsor of the 2009-2010 Trust Presents series.

AST Announces 31st Season Of Plays Auditions 4/6, 4/7

American Stage Theatre Company has announced Equity Principal auditions for their 31st season of plays and musicals on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7 from 10 am to 5 pm. FENCES will begin rehearsals on August 25, open September 15, and close October 11 (with the possibility of a one week extension until Sunday, October 18).
