The Aspen Chamber Resort Association awarded Theatre Aspen a Business of the Year Award at today's 2013 Wintersköl Luncheon awards ceremony. The honor recognizes a non-profit organization that has developed a close partnership with the Roaring Fork Valley community as a means to achieve its mission. This holiday season ABC will again air the "PEANUTS" Christmas special, I WANT A DOG FOR CHRISTMAS CHARLIE BROWN!, produced and animated by the same team that has gave us the other, now classic cartoon specials based on Charles M. Surflight Theatre, under the leadership of Ken Myers, Executive Director, has announced the theater's 64th Season of 'Broadway at the Beach' - the theater's 2013 season of musicals and plays kicks off April 23 through May with a TBA musical revue, the Tony-winning comedy thriller Sleuth (May 7-19), The Boy Friend (May 24 - June 16), George M! (June 19 - July 7), Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific (July 10 - 28), You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (August 21 - September 8), Our Town (September 25 - October 6), and Irving Berlin's White Christmas (December 3 - 22).

Nashville Children's Theatre this season-during the run of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown-has understandably selected Project Linus as its annual holiday season charity, inviting audiences to become involved in the process.

ABC's airing of the Peanut's classic A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING proved to be a ratings winner for the network, holding up strongly against CBS' Survivor and Fox's The X-Factor last night. The 39-year-old animated special delivered its biggest audience in four years - 8.1 million viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adult demo, up 22 percent from last year.
