Angelinos looking for a unique and satisfying "family-friendly-experience" in American music, featuring some of the best talent in the Los Angeles musical theatre world, are in for a real treat! This revised production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN will open at Theatre Banshee, Burbank, tonight, January 18th thru February 10th, 2013. Produced by John Peters for J & J Productions, this warmhearted musical comedy based on the "Peanuts" comic strip, welcomes Television, Movie, Broadway Musical Theatre, & Award-Winning Stars: Carla Jimenez, Eymard Cabling, Colette Peters, Chris Duir, Chaz Feuerstine, Frankie Marrone, James Oronoz, Adam Trent, & Jennifer Strattan.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is based on The Comic Strip "Peanuts" by Charles M. Schulz and features a Book, Music and Lyrics by Clark Gesner. Additional dialogue by Michael Mayer, & additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lipp. Opening on Broadway in 1999, this revised version played for 149 performances at the Ambassador Theatre with award-winning performances by Roger Bart and Kristin Chenoweth as Snoopy and Sally. This revised edition is a fresh approach to the all-time 1967 classic. Sally Brown joins Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Snoopy in this version. Two new songs, Beethoven Day and My New Philosophy, have been added to the twelve wonderful numbers of the original version, such as My Blanket and Me, The Kite, The Baseball Game, Little Known Facts, Suppertime and Happiness.

This impressive cast will feature Carla Jimenez as Lucy. Ms. Jimenez has had roles in television series such as Desperate Housewives, Bones, CSI, Dexter, The Shield, Lincoln Heights, Better off Ted, Everybody Hates Chris, My Name is Earl, Little Britain USA, and many others. She has appeared in films including Nacho Libre, Lady in the Water, Accepted, and The Dead Girl. She currently plays the recurring role of Rosa on Raising Hope. Linus van Pelt will be played by Eymard Cabling who was most recently seen in Miss Saigon (The Engineer) at The Candlelight Pavilion. National Touring credits (North American) include Miss Saigon (The Engineer). He appeared in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney), & Jane of the Jungle at South Coast Repertory. Other credits include Magno Rubio, (Atoy) at the Ford Theater in Hollywood, Year Zero (Glenn) at the Colony Theatre in Burbank, She Loves Me (Arpad) at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and internationally on the Asian tour of The King and I (The Kralahome). Eymard holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Sally Brown will be played by Colette Peters whose recent theater credits include Titanic the Musical (Kate McGowan), Miss Saigon (Ellen), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy)-ITL Award for Best Performance in a Musical Production, Oklahoma! (Ado Annie)-Garland Award & Stage Scene L.A. Nomination for Best Performance in a Musical Production, Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey) -Plan B-Entertainment (National Tour). Colette appeared in Séance On A Wet Afternoon (World Premiere Opera by Stephen Schwartz -Opera Santa Barbara). She portrayed Jennyanydots in three Southern California Productions of Cats, directed & choreographed by Dana Solimando. Charlie Brown will be played by Chris Duir whose credits include Grease -the National Tour (Eugene, u/s Teen Angel), Regional: Hairspray (Fender, u/s Corny Collins), The Drowsy Chaperone (George), How to Succeed... (Ovington), Cats (Skimbleshanks), Once Upon a Mattress (Jester), Miss Saigon (Engineer). Chris has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Cal State Fullerton. Charlie Brown will also be played by Chaz Feuerstine whose credits include Cabaret (Cliff); Hairspray (Fender); Rent (Benny); The Wedding Singer (George); R&J (Paris); Bus Stop (Bo); Chicago, Peter Pan, Godspell, Willy Wonka, Beauty & The Beast, and most recently Miss Saigon at The Candlelight Pavilion. Snoopy will be played by Frankie Marrone whose recent shows include Bells Are Ringing and On A Clear Day (both part of the Reiner Reading Series at MTW), Man Of La Mancha, The Pajama Game, and the past three Christmas Shows (all at The Candlelight Pavilion), and Big River (Glendale Centre Theatre). Favorite roles: Into the Woods (Jack), H2$ (Finch), Zanna, Don't (Mike), and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Speed). He also has written and directed several Cabarets in Boston, NY, and LA, and is the 2009 winner of West Hollywood's Cabaret Idol. Schroeder will be played by James Oronoz whose credits include John in Miss Saigon (The Candlelight Pavilion), Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime (Haugh Performing Arts Center), Benny in In The Heights, Tom Collins in Rent, Tank in Zanna Don't. His performance in Songs For A New World (Man 1; Empire Theater) was critically acclaimed. Adam Trent will cover as both Linus van Pelt & Snoopy. His credits include The Drowsy Chaperone (Gangster #2), Godspell, High School Musical (James/US Troy), Big River (Young Fool), Musical Theatre Guild's One Touch of Venus (Zuvettli/Sam), SeeSaw, Sacred Fool's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom (Son Type), Norris Theatre's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Protean), and Musical Theatre West's The Wizard of OZ. Jennifer Strattan will cover as Lucy. Her credits include Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense (Garland Award nominee), Olive in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Betty Jean in The Marvelous Wonderettes -ITL Award for Best Performance in a Musical Production, Shirley Markowitz in The Producers, and Joy in Cinderella.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN will be directed by Neil Dale, whose West End Theatre Credits include Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Starlight Express, The Buddy Holly Story and Ferry Cross the Mersey. His American credits include: Man of La Mancha, Godspell, My Son Pinnochio, Kopit and Yeston's~ Phantom, Evita, All Shook Up, Cats, Bells Are Ringing, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Titanic the Musical. Neil recently directed the critically acclaimed Miss Saigon at The Candlelight Pavilion. Previous directorial credits include benefit concerts in the UK with both the casts of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon in aid of "Break Through for Breast Cancer".

Choreography will be by Janet Renslow whose choreography has been awarded both nationally & regionally: Miss Saigon, Cats, Singin' In The Rain, Thoroughly Modern Millie, No, No, Nanette, Carousel, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Phantom, Beauty and The Beast, Hairspray, Crazy For You, Once Upon a Mattress, The Music Man, Will Rogers Follies, & Oklahoma! Ms. Renslow holds a BFA in Ballet, and currently works as a choreographer at The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

The Music Director for YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN will be Marc Macalintal, a musician and actor who performs in Los Angeles theatre. In the pit, he has musically directed Footloose, The Last Five Years, Marry Me A Little, Pippin, HMS Pinafore, and Guys And Dolls. He composed music for A Jive Bombers' Christmas by Dom Magwili, Moose Mating by David Grae, and for the hip hop musical, Krunk Fu Battle Battle, which was produced by East West Players. As an actor, his credits include Damn Yankees (Smokey), The King And I (Lun Tha), Master Class (Manny), as well as You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Linus). Marc is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN is produced by John Peters for J & J Productions. This production will run tonight, January 18 through February 10, 2013. [Official Press Opening January 18, 2013].
