Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces Holiday Events

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents two family-friendly productions to kick off the holiday season. The timeless ballet classic The Nutcracker will be performed on Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m. Humbug!, FPAC's contemporary musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, will be staged on Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 16, at 2 p.m. Both shows will be presented at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin.

The Country Playhouse Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, 12/6-24

The Country Playhouse will present A Christmas Carol by Charles DIckens, performed by John Stevens on its Cerwinske main stage for three weekends only, December 6 - 24. Opening night is Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m., then on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with two Sunday matinees on December 9 and December 16 at 2:00 p.m., plus Thursday, December 13, at 7:30 p.m., and closing on Christmas Eve.

New York Classical Theatre Presents A {15-MIN!} CHRISTMAS CAROL, 12/10-20

There is a casting change in The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" presented at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Ron West will join the cast to play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Joe Flaherty was originally announced in that role but needed to leave the production for personal reasons. The twisted telling of Charles Dickens' holiday classic will open November 29 and continue through December 30, 2012. Previews begin tonight, November 24.
