Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents two family-friendly productions to kick off the holiday season. The timeless ballet classic The Nutcracker will be performed on Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m. Humbug!, FPAC's contemporary musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, will be staged on Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 16, at 2 p.m. Both shows will be presented at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin.

The Rialto Theatre Foundation is proud to present its third instalment of the yearly classic 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. With nine performances from December 13th to the 23rd, 2012 at the Rialto Theatre, this family-friendly production is quickly becoming a Montreal holiday tradition.

The Country Playhouse will present A Christmas Carol by Charles DIckens, performed by John Stevens on its Cerwinske main stage for three weekends only, December 6 - 24. Opening night is Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m., then on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with two Sunday matinees on December 9 and December 16 at 2:00 p.m., plus Thursday, December 13, at 7:30 p.m., and closing on Christmas Eve.

Downtown audiences will be able to enjoy a quick theater break in the midst of the holiday bustle next month with A {15-min!} Christmas Carol, a rollicking, fast-paced version of Dickens's beloved classic performed by just two actors.

Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights professional theater company, will present "A Radio Christmas Carol." Charles Dickens' Christmas Classic adapted by David Fuller and performed as a Radio Play, complete with Foley Artist Sound Effects. There is a casting change in The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" presented at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Ron West will join the cast to play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Joe Flaherty was originally announced in that role but needed to leave the production for personal reasons. The twisted telling of Charles Dickens' holiday classic will open November 29 and continue through December 30, 2012. Previews begin tonight, November 24.

The students of the Warner Theatre Center for Arts Education will present the world premiere ofA Ghost Tale for Mr. Dickens December 7-9 in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

A Christmas Carol, as adapted by David and Julie Payne (with original music by Martha Yordy), opens at The Aurora Fox the day after Thanksgiving November 23rd.
