Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces Holiday Events

Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) presents two family-friendly productions to kick off the holiday season. The timeless ballet classic The Nutcracker will be performed on Saturday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m. Humbug!, FPAC's contemporary musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, will be staged on Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, December 16, at 2 p.m. Both shows will be presented at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin.

The Rialto Theatre Foundation is proud to present its third instalment of the yearly classic 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. With nine performances from December 13th to the 23rd, 2012 at the Rialto Theatre, this family-friendly production is quickly becoming a Montreal holiday tradition.

The Country Playhouse will present A Christmas Carol by Charles DIckens, performed by John Stevens on its Cerwinske main stage for three weekends only, December 6 - 24. Opening night is Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m., then on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., with two Sunday matinees on December 9 and December 16 at 2:00 p.m., plus Thursday, December 13, at 7:30 p.m., and closing on Christmas Eve.

Theater 2020, Brooklyn Heights professional theater company, will present "A Radio Christmas Carol." Charles Dickens' Christmas Classic adapted by David Fuller and performed as a Radio Play, complete with Foley Artist Sound Effects. Saturday, December 8th at 3pm at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

The Second City's A CHRISTMAS CAROL: TWIST YOUR DICKENS! Begins Tonight in LA

There is a casting change in The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" presented at the Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Ron West will join the cast to play the role of Ebenezer Scrooge. Joe Flaherty was originally announced in that role but needed to leave the production for personal reasons. The twisted telling of Charles Dickens' holiday classic will open November 29 and continue through December 30, 2012. Previews begin tonight, November 24.

A Christmas Carol, as adapted by David and Julie Payne (with original music by Martha Yordy), opens at The Aurora Fox the day after Thanksgiving November 23rd. Tickets are $26 for adults, $22 for Students/Seniors, $20 each for groups of 10+ and $13 for children 12 and under. Family 4-packs are $65 (two adults and two kids). Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol is returning to Frederick for the nineteenth straight year with Maryland Ensemble Theatre's production December 14 through 16 at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. The cast of over two dozen actors, the two-story set, the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, Future and Tiny Tim will transport audiences to Victorian England as the penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge learns the error of his miserly ways and embraces the true spirit of Christmas.
