In Performance: CHRISTMAS CAROL's Peter Bradbury as 'Ebenezer Scrooge'

This week's New York Times In Performance video features a scene featuring Peter Bradbury as Ebenezer Scrooge in Patrick Barlow's new adaptation of Charles Dickens's "Christmas Carol." Directed by Joe Calarco, the production continues through Jan. 4 at the Theater at St. Clement's.

Summoners Ensemble Theatre and the Merchant's House Museum announce A Christmas Carol at the Merchant's House Museum. John Kevin Jones recreates his outstanding solo performance of A Christmas Carol, directed by Dr. Rhonda Dodd, in the intimate Greek revival double parlor of the landmark 1832 Merchant's House Museum (29 East 4th Street, Manhattan).

A CHRISTMAS CAROL Comes to the Players' Ring, 12/6-23

A Christmas Carol at The Players' Ring is not only a long standing holiday tradition for the community, it is also a rite of passage for anyone who has stepped foot in the theater as a performer or director. This wonderful adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic by Players' Ring founder Gary Newton has seen many interpretations over the years in the hands of different directors. This year it falls to Christopher Savage to masterfully bring to life this heartwarming holiday tale for all audiences to enjoy!

Paper Mill Playhouse continues its 75th Anniversary Season with the classic Charles Dickens musical Oliver!, with a holiday 'twist' for the entire family. With a book, music and lyrics by Lionel Bart, Oliver! is directed by Paper Mill Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Mark S. Hoebee with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Oliver! features David Garrison (Fagin), best known for his role as Steve Rhoades on the hit television series Married...with Children, Betsy Morgan (Nancy), John Treacy Egan (Mr. Bumble), Jose Llana (Bill Sikes), David Hess (MR. Brownlow), Ethan Haberfield (Artful Dodger) and introducing Tyler Moran as Oliver. Oliver! also features 16 local boys from across the state of New Jersey who auditioned from a pool of over 200. Oliver! plays the Millburn, New Jersey theater through December 29. The official press opening was last night, December 1, 2013, and BroadwayWorld was there for the festivities. ATG Acquires London's Savoy, Playhouse Theatres

The Ambassador Theatre Group Ltd (ATG) today announces that it has completed a deal to acquire 100% ownership of the Savoy and Playhouse theatres in London's West End from its current partners.

CST Presents A Q BROTHERS CHRISTMAS CAROL, Now thru 12/22

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) and hip-hop sensations the Q Brothers are back at it again turning up the volume with a fresh take on a beloved classic. The Q Brothers and CST Creative Producer Rick Boynton have come together to develop A Q Brothers' Christmas Carol-a hip-hop reinterpretation of the perennial holiday favorite by Charles Dickens.
