Presented by Performing Arts Fort Worth, Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), will play at Bass Performance Hall Oct. 27-Nov. 1. The Cutting Room, one of New York City's exciting night clubs, presented Sean Matthew Whiteford (Rock of Ages, Rock N Roll Debauchery)'s concert version of his 80s pop-rock romantic horror comedy party musical, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL on August 1st at 7:30 PM. Inspired by the 1989 B-movie of the same title, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL tells the story of four-eyed wallflower, Maggie Miller, who longs for acceptance and romance.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents the 2015 Johnny Mercer Writers Colony Concert, featuring the works of Colony participants Peter Cincotti and Pia Cincotti (The Last Laugh), Michael R. Jackson (A Strange Loop), Jean Rohe (The Odysseus Agreement), and Patrick Lundquist & Peter Seibert (Puccini). The Johnny Mercer Foundation (JMF) and Goodspeed Musicals are proud to co-produce the first New York City showcase of musicals developed at this one of a kind program.

Broadway <3 Canines for Kids is a Valentine's themed concert that celebrates love. The one night only event will benefit Canines for Disabled Kids, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs for disabled children. The evening will feature Broadway performers interpreting songs by emerging musical theater writers.

On Sunday, November 16 at 7PM four new musicals will be presenting 15 minute excerpts for an audience and a panel of industry professionals. Each show will receive a 5-hour block of rehearsal time at the Factory. A cast of volunteer performers will then have 15 minutes to present each excerpt before an audience and a panel of industry professionals.

Broadway LeAps Onstage, a concert to benefit LeAp (Learning through an Expanded Arts Program) OnStage, will be held Thursday, November 13th at 8pm at the Davenport Theatre. The event, raising funds and awareness of theatre arts education in underprivileged schools in New York, will feature composers and performers such as Scott Alan ('Anything Worth Holding on To'), Drew Gasparini (Crazy, Just Like Me), Anna Bergman (Lincoln Center's American Songbook), and Jessica Vosk (The Bridges of Madison County).

HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, the critically acclaimed musical stage adaptation of Daniel Waters' iconic 1989 dark comedy film, will play its final performance of its limited engagement at New World Stages tonight, August 4, 2014 after 17 previews and 145 regular performances.

A show representative told BWW: 'Barrett Wilbert Weed has departed the Off-Broadway production of HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL to pursue other opportunities. Original cast member Charissa Hogeland, who has understudied the role of Veronica since the show's premiere at New World Stages, will take over the leading role, effective immediately.'
