Katya Smirnoff-Skyy to Play Feinstein's at the Nikko, 12/19

Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein are thrilled to welcome The Countess Katya Smirnoff-Skyy,San Francisco's favorite Russian redhead, to Feinstein's at the Nikko for one performance only - Thursday, December 19 at 8 p.m. Hailed as the best Drag Act by the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Katya will present her holiday spectacular sure to make your yuletide gay! Delighting audiences with a fun-filled evening of belting, banter, and ball gowns to bolster holiday spirit(s), Katya will perform songs ranging from classic holiday fair, to popera and disco. There is something for everyone in this heartwarming and brilliantly funny journey through Katya's holiday misadventures. Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all withinan intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein's at the Nikko by Executive Chef Philippe Striffeler, through Restaurant Anzu. The National Gallery of Victoria Opens Edward Steichen and Art Deco Fashion Exhibit Today

The National Gallery of Victoria will stage the first Australian survey of fashion's most influential photographer Edward Steichen in October. The exhibition Edward Steichen and Art Deco Fashion will feature over 200 of Steichen's original vintage photographs, drawn from the vast Condé Nast Archive through the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography, alongside more than forty stunning Art Deco fashion garments and accessories that showcase the glamour and modernity of the period.

Fuse to Count Down TOP 100 SEXIEST VIDEOS, Begin. 10/17

Frist Center Announces 30 AMERICANS Programming, Fall 2013

This fall the Frist Center for the Visual Arts will offer a variety of exciting public programming in conjunction with the exhibition 30 Americans. Highlights include Artist's Perspective lectures by Hank Willis Thomas and Nina Chanel Abney, two of the artists featured in 30 Americans. Also, in partnership with Vanderbilt University's Office of Community, Neighborhood, and Government Relations, the Frist Center will host a special three-part lunch and lecture series presented by Vanderbilt professors and guest panelists. Titled 'Food for Thought: Visualizing America through Art by African American Artists and Norman Rockwell,' the series will explore issues such as the U.S. civil rights movement and how historical events have shaped visual as well as social culture.

The Frist Center Opens 30 AMERICANS Exhibition Today

The Frist Center for the Visual Arts will present 30 Americans, an exhibition surveying works by many of the nation's leading African American artists working since the mid-1970s. Often provocative and challenging, the exhibition explores how artists relate their own sense of self to ideas within history, popular culture and contemporary mass media central to American society. 30 Americans will be on view in the Center's Ingram Gallery from today, Oct. 11, 2013 through Jan. 12, 2014.

Saks Relaunches Fragrance Floor with Ten Days of Events

This Thursday, Saks Fifth Avenue will debut its revamped Fragrance Floor: 'a new world of exploration for fragrance aficionados' on the ground level of the 5th Avenue flagship. At the core of the space is a Fragrance Bar surrounded by ten shop-in-shops from brands like Le Labo, Diptyque, Hermes, Chanel, and Kilian.

MTV announced today the pick-up of a fourth season of Rob Dyrdek's hit series'“Ridiculousness” with 22 all-new episodes and also greenlit the sixth and final season of “Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory,” with ten all-new episodes. In celebration of the new greenlights, the entire cast of “Fantasy Factory” reunites for the season three finale of “Ridiculousness” airing Thursday, September 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, followed by the season finale of “Money From Strangers” at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. Di giorno in giorno, di recensione in recensione, cerco di attenermi ai punti elencati dall'americano Chris Caggiano: prima, per amore del teatro musicale tendevo a tacere sui difetti degli spettacoli che avevo davanti; adesso, proprio in virtu di quell'amore per il teatro musicale, mi sono reso conto che questo atteggiamento non e salutare. Il critico - specialmente in un periodo in cui la gente sceglie oculatamente cosa andare a vedere a teatro - deve fungere da guida per i suoi lettori e, pur non mettendo da parte il cuore, dev'essere onesto nei loro confronti.

Charlestown Working Theater to Present WHO'S HUNGRY, 10/3-5

Charlestown Working Theater presents Who's Hungry October 3-5, 2013. Who's Hungry is an evening of experimental tabletop puppet plays that give a voice and face to hunger in America. The project aims to raise awareness of the lives of those of us who, on a daily basis, must choose between life's basic necessities - food or rent, food or medicine, food or bus fare. The production weaves together the life stories of five homeless and/or hungry individuals, incorporating puppetry, dance, music, and text.
