Rudi Dharmalingam, Sharon Duncan-Brewster & More to Star in HOPE at the Royal Court

Casting is announced today for Hope, BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne's first original play to be staged at the Royal Court. Hope follows Thorne's success with Glue and This is England '86 and reunites him with director John Tiffany after their celebrated production Let the Right One In, which transferred to the West End earlier this year.

Candoco Dance Company's PLAYING ANOTHER to Kick Off UK Tour Tonight

Candoco Dance Company, the acclaimed contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers, is twisting perceptions of what dance is, who can dance and who enjoys it in Playing Another, an evening of two new full company works that will be touring nationally this Autumn. PLAYING ANOTHER, featuring Let's Talk About Dis and Notturnino, will be on tour today 2 October - 10 December in London, Bournemouth, Nottingham, Lancaster and Salford.

The Unicorn Theatre's Christmas show, The Prince and The Pauper is a lively adaptation by Jemma Kennedy of Mark Twain's classic story of confused identities. Set in a Tudor London, a young street urchin Tom Canty has a chance meeting with the heir to the throne, Prince Edward VI and by pure coincidence they find they look almost identical.

Ballard And McNee Cast In Silbert's MEASURE FOR MEASURE For The RSC

RSC Associate Director Roxana Silbert is directing a new production of Shakespeare's Measure for Measure in the Swan Theatre as part of the Winter Season. The play previews from 17 November 2011 and runs in repertoire in the Swan Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon until 10 March 2012.

Philip Howard's sell-out Traverse Theatre Company production of David Greig's Damascus is to be presented at the Tricycle Theatre by Michael Edwards and Carole Winter for MJE Productions. Damascus will run from 3 February - 7 March 2009 with press night on Monday 9 February. Designs are by Anthony Macllwaine, lighting is by Chahine Yavroyan, the composer/arranger is Jon Beales and sound is by Graham Sutherland. The original Traverse Theatre Company cast - Nathalie Armin, Alex Elliott, Dolya Gavanski, Paul Higgins and Khalid Laith - will reprise their roles.

Damascus Makes NYC Premiere at Brits Off B'way 5/6

59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer) welcomes the Traverse Theatre Company (Edinburgh, Scotland) to Brits Off Broadway with the NYC premiere of David Greig's DAMASCUS, directed by Philip Howard and starring Ewen Bremner. DAMASCUS, which plays in Theater A, begins performances on Tuesday, May 6 for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 1.

Two National Theatres Play London in the Spring

The new National Theatre of Scotland, which produced its first production in February 2006, will be heading in to England for the staging of two of its productions in London - Anthony Neilson's The Wonderful World Of Dissocia and Pol Heyvaert's Aalst (a new version by Duncan McLean). This means that there will be a total of two National Theatre companies playing London in Spring 2007, with England's own National Theatre already well-established on the South Bank.
