The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) today announces the 15 musicals that have been invited by NYMF to be presented with the 12 previously announced Next Link Project productions. NYMF will also continue its popular Dance Series with three new works still to be announced. This year's festival will be presented September 28- October 15.

A film adaptation of Cy Coleman's CITY OF ANGELS is headed to the screen, to be helmed by Director Barry Levinson ('Wag the Dog', 'Good Morning, Vietnam'). The picture is one of many new projects to be produced by new company Unique Features, headed by former New Line Films principals Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne, Variety reported today.

Ryan Weible directs the Willows Theatre production, with choreography by Gia Solari-Welch, and music direction by Tim Hanson. The ASCAP Foundation will present this year's New York Musical Theatre Festival's Educational Series at Barnes and Noble Booksellers at Lincoln Triangle (1972 Broadway at 66th Street) on September 18th, 25th and October 2nd. The Educational Series provides an opportunity for audience members and aspiring theater artists to learn directly from industry professionals. All seminars are free of charge and made possible through the generous support of The ASCAP Foundation's Irving Caesar Trust.

On December 10, Broadway Veteran Chip Zien will host 'Monday Nights, New Voices' year end wrap up concert with a bevy of stars and New Voice alumni from this past years series.
