Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) and the Gregory Awards proudly announce today that Ruth Eitemiller will be recognized for her contributions to the Seattle theatre community.

Winner of 19 major accolades, including multiple Tony, Olivier and Drama Desk Awards, Stephen Daldry's (Billy Elliot, The Crown) multi award-winning production of J.B. Priestley's classic thriller An Inspector Calls will kick off a four-city U.S. tour at Shakespeare Theatre Company from November 20 through December 23, 2018.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 39th season of professional theater with the New England premiere of Jason O'Connell and Brenda Withers' Cyrano from July 13 through August 11 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. The selection committee for the inaugural session of The 5th Avenue Theatre's new musical initiative, First Draft: Raise Your Voice, has been announced. This cycle is currently soliciting submissions nation-wide from womxn, gender non-conforming and non-binary folx with a submission deadline of June 15. Comprised of a team of outstanding womxn, the selection committee includes performers, producers, directors, playwrights and thought leaders in the Seattle theater landscape: Desdamona Chiang, Lauren DuPree, Keiko Green, Allison Narver, and Sarah Porkalob, lead by The 5th's Kelsey Thorgalsen and Bill Berry.

On the heels of his new album 'Sunnyside,' master storyteller Jake La Botz will perform with JD McPherson at The Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY on April 20. His first album in four years, 'Sunnyside' finds the new Nashville transplant recounting his past and present atop an irresistible, driving groove. Jimmy Sutton recorded La Botz in his original hometown of Chicago at an all-analog studio, teasing dynamite performances out of the heavily tattooed artist.

Peter and the Starcatcher is based on the 2004 novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. It was adapted for the stage in 2011 by Rick Elice and provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan. In various reviews the play is described as literate, clever, enchanting and an extraordinary coming of age story. It's a play that transcends time and one that is equally at home in Victorian times as in the 21st Century. The show premiered in California then moved to Broadway where it was nominated for several awards including a Tony for best play.
