BUT IT STILL GOES ON To Make World Premiere at Finborough Theatre

In a production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, a world premiere from the author of Goodbye To All That and I Claudius, Robert Graves' "post-catastrophic comedy", But It Still Goes On, directed by Fidelis Morgan, opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four-week limited season on Tuesday, 10 July 2018 (Press Nights: Thursday, 12 July 2018 and Friday, 13 July 2018 at 7.30pm) as part of the Finborough Theatre's THEGREATWAR100 series commemorating the centenary of the First World War.

Investec Opera Holland Park Offers Hope For Grenfell One Year On

Investec Opera Holland Park (OHP) marked one year since the tragic Grenfell fire with the Hope for Grenfell Memorial Gala on Wednesday, 13 June. The concert was given in memory of Debbie Lamprell, a much-loved member of OHP's staff who was lost in the disaster, and all the fire's victims. All proceeds will be donated to the Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT) and the final total is still being calculated, but it is hoped to exceed £100k.

Finborough Theatre Announces June-August Season

We continue the 150th birthday year of the Finborough Theatre building with three plays - Finishing the Picture, Arthur Miller's final play in only its second production anywhere in the world; But It Still Goes On by poet and novelist Robert Graves which has never been performed anywhere in the world; and Homos, or Everyone in America, the European premiere of a new American play by Jordan Seavey in his UK debut.

SHOWTIME has unveiled a new video teaser for its new five-part limited series PATRICK MELROSE starring Oscar nominee and Emmy(R) winner Benedict Cumberbatch. Based on the acclaimed Patrick Melrose series of semi-autobiographical novels written by Edward St. Aubyn, the series will premiere on Saturday, May 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. PATRICK MELROSE is an acerbic and fearless look at the protagonist's harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood to his remarkable survival as an adult. In scheduling PATRICK MELROSE for five consecutive Saturdays, SHOWTIME is expanding to a new night of original programming, joining the network's existing sports and movie offerings on Saturday nights.

Oliver Phelps and Deborah Grant Join the Cast of THE CASE OF THE FRIGHTENED LADY

Continuing a successful UK-wide tour throughout 2018, Oliver Phelps and Deborah Grant will join the cast of The Classic Thriller Theatre Company's The Case of the Frightened Lady. Film star Oliver Phelps will make his stage debut, having played the character of George Weasley in one of the most successful film franchises of all time, Harry Potter. He is joined by TV's Deborah Grant, who amongst her many roles has starred in the BBC's Not Going Out and Bergerac.

In a tour de force role, Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game, Sherlock), who also executive produces the new series, plays the titular character who struggles to overcome the damage inflicted by a horribly abusive father and the mother who tacitly condoned his behavior. Academy Award® nominee Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) and Screen Actors Guild® winner Hugo Weaving (The Matrix trilogy) also star as Patrick Melrose's parents. Rounding out this accomplished cast are Anna Madeley (The Crown), Blythe Danner (Meet the Fockers), Allison Williams (Get Out), Pip Torrens (The Crown), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife), Prasanna Puwanarajah (Doctor Foster), Holliday Grainger (THE BORGIAS, Bonnie & Clyde), Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) and Celia Imrie (Bridget Jones's Baby). Each episode, devoted to one of the five novels, is written for television by BAFTA Award®nominee David Nicholls (Far from the Madding Crowd, One Day) and directed by celebrated film director Edward Berger (Deutchland 83, Jack). A co-production between SHOWTIME and Sky Atlantic, this gripping and humorous saga encompasses the South of France in the 1960s, New York in the 1980s and Britain in the early 2000s.

In Sally Potter's new dark comedy THE PARTY, Janet (Kristin Scott Thomas) is hosting an intimate gathering of friends in her London home to celebrate her political ascension, while her husband, Bill (Timothy Spall), seems preoccupied. Janet's acerbic best friend, April (Patricia Clarkson) arrives and others follow, some with their own dramatic news to share, but an announcement by Bill provokes a series of revelations that gradually unravel the sophisticated soiree, and a night that began with champagne may end with gunplay.

Harriet Walter and Craig David Announced as New Patrons For Nuffield Southampton Theatres

Ahead of the opening of their new venue - NST city, Nuffield Southampton Theatres today announces that Harriet Walter and Craig David will join the theatre as patrons, working alongside Samantha Bond, Laura Carmichael, Tom Hiddleston and Celia Imrie. Theatrical charity Acting for Others announces that over 150,000 has been raised at this year's One Night Only at The Ivy setting the record for the highest amount raised from this event. Stars of the stage and screen swapped their costumes for aprons and served diners across two sittings at The Ivy, world-renowned for their unfaltering impeccable service. Heading up the waiting staff this year to ply their trades in bartending, waiting tables, manning cloakrooms and welcoming guests were Noma Dumezweni, Arlene Phillips and Freddie Fox.
