Johanna Barr and Joe Pikowski, a lucky young couple, found themselves on a double-date with Broadway's newest 'newlyweds,' Rob McClure and Brynn O'Malley of Honeymoon in Vegas. Immediately following the Valentine's Day matinee, Tony Danza instructed audience members to look under their seats for a special Valentine's Day heart. Having found the heart, the two were whisked away for a fun double-date at Wolfgang's Steakhouse in midtown.

Also backstage was theatre luminary Joel Grey. The Tony, Oscar, and Golden Globe Award-winner became the latest celebrity to be lei'd by Honeymooncast members. Grey was delighted when McClure and O'Malley surprised him with a traditional Hawaiian lei in celebration of Valentine's Day.

Audience members, including multiple Tony, Oscar, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Award-winning composer Stephen Sondheim, got lei'd last night at Broadway's newest critical smash hit musical, Honeymoon in Vegas. In celebration of Valentine's Day week, lovers of Broadway were treated to complimentary Hawaiian Leis and Mai Tais as they entered the Nederlander Theatre. Cast members Catherine Ricafort ('Mahi') and Raymond J. Lee greeted Sondheim before the Wednesday evening performance of Honeymoon in Vegas which transports the audience from Brooklyn, to Vegas, Hawaii, and back again.

Tony Danza and the cast of Honeymoon in Vegas will celebrate Valentine's Day all week at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st Street) with a lovely array of surprises for audience members Wednesday, February 11 through Saturday, February 14, 2015. Directed by Gary Griffin, and featuring a book by Andrew Bergman and score by three-time Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown, Honeymoon in Vegas opened on Broadway January 15, 2015.

Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown's much-loved stage musical The Last Five Years gets the big screen treatment in The Last Five Years- a dynamic, achingly romantic new film from Oscar-nominated filmmaker Richard LaGravenese (The Fisher King) and starring Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick (Into the Woods, Pitch Perfect) and Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, 'Smash'). It is really no surprise to me that the first musical to open on Broadway in 2015 garnered impressive raves from New York critics. This smartly crafted piece of theatre candy is just sweet and sassy enough. One of the reasons why it is such a gem is because of its fantastically constructed score. Jason Robert Brown layers glitz and glamour on HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, but his trademark nuances and subtleties also add delightful zest and depth to this appealing score.
