Chrysler Hall is set to welcome the AMERICAN IDIOT national tour this upcoming winter, the punk rock adaptation of Green Day's conceptual album of the same name, from tonight, January 25 and tomorrow night, January 26th.

The national tour of the explosive Broadway hit AMERICAN IDIOT, called "wonderfully raucous" and "emotionally charged" by The New York Times and "flat-out electrifying" by the Boston Globe, will make its Philadelphia premiere Feb. 12 - 17 at the Merriam Theater as part of the Broadway Season, presented by The Kimmel Center and The Shubert Organization. The press opening is scheduled for Tues. Feb. 12 at 7:30 pm.

The national tour of the explosive Broadway hit AMERICAN IDIOT will make its Providence premiere February 8 - 10, 2013 at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) for four performances only. Please note that AMERICAN IDIOT contains adult language and content.

Earlier this week, the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT set out for Southhampton, where they will launch the UK tour of Green Day's explosive, award-winning Broadway rock musical, which will culminate in a London season at the legendary HMV Hammersmith Apollo from December 4 - 16. Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT, the two-time Tony Award®-winning Broadway hit, begins its new tour dates starting tonight, August 29, 2012 at the North Charleston PAC in North Charleston, SC, followed by additional tour dates listed below.

Alex Nee will star as Johnny, along with Thomas Hettrick as Tunny, Casey O'Farrell as Will, Alyssa DiPalma as Whatsername, Jenna Rubaii as The Extraordinary Girl, Kennedy Caughell as Heather and Trent Saunders as St. Jimmy.

The award-winning, professional San Diego Musical Theatre (SDMT) produces the critically-acclaimed Broadway rock opera "Rent" June 22 - July 8 at its new home, the beautifully restored Birch North Park Theatre. Actress Gwen Stewart, from the original Broadway and touring productions of "Rent," will reprise the role she created, Mrs. Jefferson, introducing the solo vocals for the musical's central theme song, "Seasons of Love."
