The Fellowship Cultural Arts Center in Basking Ridge welcomes New Jersey Ballet to the stage for a Mixed Repertory featuring Pas de Deux by George Balanchine and Christopher Wheeldon. The show will run May 14 and 15 for an evening and matinee performance.
Bullying and gender stereotypes are issues youngsters deal with every day. Now, K-5 students around the Bay Area can explore these important issues in an engaging and creative way as TheatreWorks Silicon Valley brings its award-winning Oskar tour to Bay Area Elementary Schools. Developed in an effort to help today's youngest students develop the resiliency and strategies needed to cope with bullying at school, and to increase sensitivity and empathy, TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Education program will present the West Coast Premiere of Oskar and the Big Bully Battle, Part 2 as well as Oskar and the Countless Costume Changes, written by award-winning playwrights Prince Gomolvilas and Matt Ackels. The Oskar tour runs March 2 - April 10, 2020, and will travel to schools in the South Bay, Peninsula, East Bay, and San Francisco (see list for specific schools). The Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts and 88.5 FM present American icon and GRAMMY Award-winner Mavis Staples for one-night only on Thursday, February 13 at 8:00pm. Mavis Staples also has the distinction of being in the Blues Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. GRAMMY Award-winning producer and singer-songwriter Son Little will open for Staples.

New Jersey Ballet's 45th anniversary season presentation of the holiday classic Nutcracker will feature musical accompaniment by the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. The collaboration marks the first time that MPAC, New Jersey's leading ballet company and symphony orchestra have worked together to present the seasonal favorite in Morristown.
New Jersey Ballet returns to MPAC for two performances May 18-19. On Saturday, May 18 at 8 pm, it will present Don Quixote. On Sunday, May 19 at 1:30 pm and 4 pm, it will present Beauty and the Beast/Peter and the Wolf, ballets specifically geared toward families with young children ages 4 and up. Tickets for Don Quixote are $29-59; tickets for Beauty and the Beast/Peter and the Wolf are $12-15.
