Our 36th Kritzerland show is devoted to the brilliant songs of Meredith Willson and Gene de Paul. Producer Bruce Kimmel has recorded many songs by each and is thrilled to do an entire evening of their wonderful material. Meredith Willson, of course, gave Broadway one of its most enduring hits, THE MUSIC MAN, a musical filled with one amazing song after another, several of which we'll be doing. He also wrote the Broadway and film hit, THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, HERE'S LOVE (based on MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET), and a musical about Christopher Columbus called 1491 that never made it to Broadway.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten presents a benefit reading of Pitching To The Star by Pulitzer Prize winner Donald Margulies. Lewis Black and Robert Sean Leonard revisit the roles they originated 25 years ago for this special one-night-only reading, tonight, August 4 at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage. Following the reading will be The Perfect Pitch, a panel discussion about perfect (and not-so-perfect) Hollywood pitches.

On August 10, single tickets will go on sale for all Buffalo Philharmonic performances in the 2013-14 season, including the highly anticipated season opening gala with Yo-Yo Ma.

The Buck Creek Players will wrap up their 39th season 'In the Spotlight' with their fifth biennial Play-A-Part Fundraiser of the hit musical, Oklahoma!, sponsored in part by The Friends of Sue Leavell. Quickly becoming a BCP audience favorite, the Play-A-Part Fundraisers separate themselves from the playhouse's traditional community theater productions in that all roles are 'won' through an online silent auction with no required auditions! Veteran musical theater performers join first-timers to give this classic musical a comedic twist much like The Carol Burnett Show. Oklahoma features music by Richard Rodgers, and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Broadway favorite Kristin Chenoweth will moderate AN EVENING WITH CAROL BURNETT on July 22 at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in Los Angeles. The event was originally scheduled for last summer, but was postponed after Chenoweth was hospitalized as the result of an accident on the set of the CBS drama series The Good Wife.
