Netflix has renewed Raising Dion for a second season. 

THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, present the second show of the Road's 2019-2020 season, a newly revised and re-written production of NOWHERE ON THE BORDER, written by Carlos Lacámara and directed by Stewart J. Zully. NOWHERE ON THE BORDER will preview on Tuesday, January 14; Wednesday, January 15 & Thursday, January 16 at 8pm; will open on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 8pm and run through Sunday, March 8 at the Road Theatre on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

New York-based actor Donald Paul has just signed on and is set to join the new 10 episode Netflix series called, RAISING DION, which is written by Carol Barbee and based on the popular comic book written by Dennis Liu. Donald, known for his role on the various TV shows including: Quantico, Elementary, POWER, GROWN, Love Is ___, and SEAL Team, joins the already signed Raising Dion cast of Michael B. Jordan, Jason Ritter, Jazmyn Simon and Alisha Wainwright. Talking to Broadway World exclusively, Donald says, “I'm excited to head over to Atlanta and begin shooting my scenes later this summer and work with such an incredible cast and crew!”

Newcomer Ja'Siah Young will star as 'Dion Reese,' a curious, playful, and intelligent 7-year-old boy who is learning he has some very special abilities - he can move things with his mind. While exciting and cool, it's also something he knows scares his mom, Nicole.

According to Deadline, Jason Ritter has been cast as the lead in Netflix's straight-to-series hourlong sci-fi family drama Raising Dion, based on commercial and music video director Dennis Liu's short film about an African-American single mother who discovers her young son has multiple, constantly changing abilities. The project comes from Liu, Creed star Michael B. Jordan, who will have a supporting role, veteran showrunner Carol Barbee (UnReal, Judging Amy), writer-producer Michael Green (American Gods, Logan) and Charles D. King's MACRO (Fences).

Days before UnREAL's second season premiere, Lifetime has greenlit a third season of its critically acclaimed scripted drama, UNREAL with a 10-episode order, it was announced today by Liz Gateley, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for Lifetime. Produced by A+E Studios, UnREAL's third season is set for a 2017 release.

Hulu has acquired the exclusive subscription video on-demand rights to Lifetime's critically acclaimed drama series from A+E Studios, UnREAL.

Scheduled this Friday to be honored by the American Film Institute as a 2015 Television Program of the Year and recently nominated the Broadcast Television Journalists Association for a Critics' Choice Award for Best Drama, Lifetime's critically-acclaimed series UnREAL (#UnREALTV) is set to begin production this March for a summer return.
