Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts has announced its 2012-13, 24th Season. Including LE POÈME HARMONIQUE IN "VENEZIA," on opening night, eight intriguing composer portraits, featuring John Cage, Jonathan Harvey, Olga Neuwirth, Sofia Gubaidulina, Enno Poppe, Rebeecca Saunders, Oliver Knussen and Julio Estrada. Bach, Revisted, highlights innovators, baroque and modern alike, featuring Jennifer Koh teaming up with mentor Jaime Laredo, harpsichordist Kristian Bezuidenhout and Ensemble Signal playing Bach, Rebel and Michael Gordon, and pianist Christopher Taylor juxtaposing Bach and Rzewski. Award-winning disk jockey, rock historian and author Pete Fornatale, the host of Mixed Bag on WFUV and a New York radio icon for more than 40 years, has died. His family announced his death at age 66. A private funeral mass is planned. WFUV (90.7 FM, wfuv.org) will offer an on-air celebration of his life and career on Saturday, May 5 from 4 to 8 p.m.

The guys who made and played the hits of the 60s, 70s and 80s, The Hit Men will be appearing at the Broadway Theatre of Pitman on August 25 at 8:00 pm.

Leading the cast of "The Secret Garden" at Hale Center Theater Orem is Dallyn Vail Bayles as Archibald Craven. Bayles, an Equity member who has performed the masked lead role in a national tour of "The Phantom of the Opera," Enjolras in a "Les Miserables" national tour, and with Colm Wilkinson at the China premiere of "Les Miserables," a popular recording artist and treasured stage and film actor locally.

Her 1979 #1 hit, the greatest disco anthem of all time, "I Will Survive," is her signature song of inspiration that has touched the hearts of people all over the world. The song was inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame at this year's ceremony in February. Urban and dance music phenomenon COLONEL ABRAMS will perform his biggest hits, including "Trapped," "I'm Not Gonna Let You" and "How Soon We Forget." Also performing will be THE HIT MEN, a group of six guys who made, played, sang and recorded the hits of the '60s, '70s and '80s. This group features original recording and performing members of such iconic bands as Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and Tommy James and The Shondells and the original recording artists of such historic megahits as "Oh What a Night (Dec. '63)," "Sherry," "Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown" and 'Who Loves You."

Fred Weintraub, an 85-year-old Bronx native, who has spent more than 50 years in the entertainment business, is coming to NYC March 29 - April 5, to promote his new memoir, 'Bruce Lee, Woodstock and Me.' The founder of the Greenwich Village nightclub The Bitter End (which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year), began his adventurous life in the Fort Apache section of The Bronx, after which it took him to Greenwich Village and the founding of the world famous Bitter End, where he launched the careers of such famous entertainers as Woody Allen, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Joan Rivers, Billy Crystal, Bill Cosby, Judy Collins, Peter, Paul and Mary, Dustin Hoffman, Carly Simon, David Amram, and Neil Diamond, among others, and then out West to Hollywood where he discovered Bruce Lee and produced 'Enter The Dragon,' and then produced the original Woodstock movie and 40 more films with stars such as Steve McQueen, George C. Scott, Robert Duvall. Karen Dunst and dozens of others.

Prine has two Grammys and the distinction of being one of the few songwriters honored by the Library of Congress and US Poet Laureate.
