The cast of the North American tour of "Million Dollar Quartet" (MDQ), led by Cody Slaughter as Elvis Presley and Lee Ferris as Carl Perkins; South Korean rapper Psy, whose viral hit song "Gangnam Style" recently earned more than one billion views on YouTube; and Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen, the artist behind the catchy pop hit song "Call Me Maybe'; among others pumped up more than one million revelers yesterday at the 2013 New Year's Eve Ball Drop in Times Square, a tradition dating back to 1907.

Nick Cannon kicks off the New Year's Eve festivities by counting down the top music videos of the year during TeenNick Top 10 'Best of 2012,' premiering Monday, Dec. 31, at 8:00 p.m. (ET). During the one-hour special, Cannon hangs with fans in New York City's Times Square and interviews celebrities like Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and Ne-Yo, while unveiling the top music videos of the year as voted on by TeenNick viewers via Twitter. Are you ready to rock while giving back this Christmas season? Tomorrow night, The Salvation Army will present the third annual Rock the Red Kettle Concert, produced by Specktor Media, featuring a mix of today's top music artists including Owl City, Hot Chelle Rae, Andy Grammer , Bridgit Mendler , and Sonus. The free concert on Saturday, December 15, which will be open to the general public and support the Army's annual Red Kettle Campaign, will begin at 7:30 p.m. PST, at L.A. LIVE in downtown Los Angeles.

MTV today announced One Direction (OneDirection.MTV.com) has been selected by its team of music staffers as 2012's Artist of the Year, ending a week long multiscreen celebration in which Carly Rae Jepsen's (CarlyRaeJepsen.MTV.com) Call Me Maybe was named Song of the Year.

Ovation, the only network devoted to artists and every kind of artistic expression, will premiere encore presentations of So You Think You Can Dance season nine starting January 4 at 8 p.m.ET. Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' has been named Best Song of 2012 by MTV. The worldwide hit reached number one in both the UK and the United States and to date has sold over 6 million copies in America alone.

Adele's '21' earned Diamond decoration, while Taylor Swift's new album 'Red' reached triple-Platinum in only one month, and a variety of country, rock, and pop acts also took top metal awards, according to the November tally of Gold & Platinum certifications released today on the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA's) G&P Facebook page.

Michael Bublé returns with another star-studded holiday Christmas special airing tonight, December 10th from 10-11 pm ET on NBC. The multi-Grammy Award winning singer is joined by guest stars Rod Stewart, Blake Shelton, and fellow Canadian Carly Rae Jepsen, as well as Elmo, on songs including 'Jingle Bell Rock,' 'Let it Snow,' 'All I want for Christmas is You' and 'Winter Wonderland.' Radio Disney and Disney Channel audiences have voted and teen sister pop singers and actresses Chloe and Halle Bailey from Atlanta, Georgia have been named the season five winner of Radio Disney's 'N.B.T.' (Next BIG Thing), it was announced this evening by Radio Disney on-air personality Jake Whetter, on stage at the 'N.B.T.' Finale event in Los Angeles, California. Performances and special guest appearances included Hollywood Records recording artist and 'N.B.T.' season three finalist Coco Jones, 'N.B.T.' season four winner Shealeigh, and 'Austin & Ally' stars Laura Marano and Ross Lynch along with his band R5. Highlights from the finale event will air during the Disney Channel premiere of 'Disney's A Christmas Carol' on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). As winner of Radio Disney's 'N.B.T.,' Chloe and Halle will record a new single to be released by Disney Music Group, which they will perform on the hit Disney Channel series 'Austin & Ally.'

Overall, Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), FUN., Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, Frank Ocean, and Kanye West top the nominations with six each; The Black Keys, Chick Corea, and Miguel each garner five nods; and producer Jeff Bhasker, mastering engineer Bob Ludwig and Nas are each up for four awards.
