Fidelity futurestage hosts broadway audition day for New York's Youngest playwrights. This event is made for students to participate in theater games, workshops, seminars. Five student-written plays will be selected to make broadway debut June 15th at the Imperial Theater.
Monsters, a new musical, will be featured at an industry reading on Monday, February 18 as devlopment of the show continues. Book and lyrics are by Boston playwright Gail Phaneuf, and music and lyrics are by composer Ernie Lijoi of New Jersey. Featured in the reading cast are Cady Huffman, Ann Harada, Nicolette Hart, Kate Pazakis, Joy Franz and Carlos Encinias.
Landon Beard, Carlos Encinias, Zach Hanna, Kyle Dean Massey, and Eric Schneider, best known as the cast of hit musical Altar Boyz, will preside over the closing bell at NASDAQ MarketSite, Monday, March 19, at 4PM. The Boyz will be at 43rd and Broadway (4 Times Square).
Amas Musical Theatre will present three free staged readings of Escape from Pterodactyl Island, 'a new musical adventure' featuring a star-studded cast.
On September 20th, the fifth of six free NYMF concerts was presented at the Times Square Virgin Megastore, who is partnering with the New York Musical Theatre Festival to give audiences a sneak peek of shows opening each week of the Festival.
