Culver City Public Theatre (CCPT) announces its 14th season of summer shows in Dr. Paul Carlson Park for families and theatre fans of all ages. All performances are open to the public and free. Founded in 1998, CCPT (a donation and grant supported 501c3 non-profit) is a member of the American Association of Community Theatres (AACT).
True friendship is a journey - there is no roadmap. Award-winning playwright Richard Martin Hirsch takes us back to the Summer of '69, exploring the fragile nature of friendship in a world premiere dramedy inspired by true events. Darin Anthony directs The Closeness of the Horizon for a six-week run tonight, May 18 through June 24, presented by CoffeeHouse Productions at the Odyssey Theatre in West Los Angeles.
Broadway audiences can be forgiven if they don't quite recall being introduced to James Corden six years ago as one of The History Boys' ensemble of Oxbridge hopefuls, but in Richard Bean's One Man, Two Guvnors, the loveable harlequin makes an unforgettable sophomore appearance, taking center stage in an uproarious evening of slapstick, music and comical hijinks.
