STAGE TUBE: Watch the New Official Trailer of Berkeley Rep's AMELIE, Starring Samantha Barks

BroadwayWorld brings you a brand new official trailer of Berkeley Repertory Theatre's AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL, starring award-winning British actress Samantha Barks, directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?). Barks, who is best known for her stand-out performance as Eponine in the film adaptation of LES MISERABLES, will portray the inquisitive and charmingly shy Amelie. Her most recent theatre credits include City of Angels, Cabaret, and Oliver! in London's West End, and Chicago at The Hollywood Bowl. Samantha Barks (Amelie) is joined by (in alphabetical order) David Andino (Blind Beggar/Garden Gnome), Randy Blair (Hipoloto), Adam Chanler-Berat (Nino), Alison Cimmet (Amandine/Philomene), Savvy Crawford (Young Amelie), Carla Duren (Gina), John Hickok (Raphael/Bretodeaux), Alyse Alan Louis (Georgette), Shannon O'Boyle (Swing), Maria-Christina Oliveras (Suzanne), Tony Sheldon (Dufayel/Collignon), Perry Sherman (Lucien), Jacob Keith Watson (Swing), and Paul Whitty (Joseph).

World Premiere of AMELIE Extends at Berkeley Rep

Due to an exuberant reception from critics and audiences alike, Berkeley Repertory Theatre has announced that Amelie, A New Musical, will extend for an additional week. Originally scheduled to close on October 4, the world premiere will now play through Sunday, October 11. Starting at noon today, tickets for the added eight performances can be purchased by phone at (510) 647-2949 or online at berkeleyrep.org.

Berkeley Rep presents its 2015-16 season opener, the theatrical world premiere presentation of AMELIE, A NEW MUSICAL, starring LES MISERABLES' Samantha Barks, begins previews today, August 29 and opens on Friday, September 11. It runs through Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Vineyard Theatre Extends BROOKLYNITE to March 29

The Vineyard Theatre announced today that due to demand the world premiere of the original musical BROOKLYNITE will extend its limited engagement by one week and will now run through Sunday, March 29. Helmed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, SPRING AWAKENING), BROOKLYNITE opened on Wednesday, February 25.
