BWW Reviews: The Turntable Returns to Orlando Shakespeare's LES MISERABLES

If you haven't heard of LES MISERABLES then you're probably living under a pop-culture rock. Since making it's English-language stage debut in 1983, this phenomenon has been thrilling audiences around the world and now in Orlando. To kick off Orlando Shakespeare's 26th Season, this mega musical packs a strong cast and an award winning score.

To promote their upcoming production of LES MISERABLES, the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre recently held a flash mob at the Mall of Millenia. In this video, the actors converge from all corners of the mall as they sing the rousing, now iconic song, 'One Day More,' complete with the familiarly choreographed 'Les Mis walk' and of course a red flag. Orlando Shakespeare Theater to Open Season with LES MISERABLES, 9/10-10/12

Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF will present Les Miserables from September 10 - October 12, 2014 in the Margeson Theater. Featuring a talented mix of Broadway veterans and Orlando Shakes favorites, the production will be the largest musical in the Theater's history. The cast of the Tony Award-winning musical NEWSIES took their excited final bows at the Nederlander Theatre today to uproarious applause from a packed audience. NEWSIES featured a Tony Award-winning score with music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, with a book by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, NEWSIES was directed by Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli, who won a 2012 Tony Award for his work. NEWSIES enjoyed almost two and a half years on Broadway.
