The Boston Center for American Performance (BCAP) opens its third season on November 6th with C.P. Taylor's Good, directed by BCAP's artistic director Jim Petosa.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) will begin previews for AFTER TE REVOLUTION on Thursday, October 21 at 7:30 PM. With an Opening Night set for November 10, the limited engagement will play through Sunday, November 28 at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street). AFTER THE REVOLUTION will be the second production of the theater company's 40th Anniversary Season.

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced complete casting for the New York premiere of AFTER THE REVOLUTION, a new play by Amy Herzog (Missed Connections, 508 at Ars Nova, Hungry at EST). Directed by Carolyn Cantor (Essential Self-Defense at PH, Pumpgirl, Orange Water Flower), the production will begin previews Thursday, October 21 at 7:30 PM. For the first time the reconstructed Globe Theatre will stage Shakespeare's most sumptuous and spectacular plays - Henry VIII on 15 May. Dominic Rowan will play the iconic Tudor King after his recent performance in the west-end production of The Misanthrope, and celebrated performance as Touchstone in the Globe's 2009 production of As You Like It.

Forty-six years after founding South Coast Repertory, David Emmes and Martin Benson have decided it is time to begin the search for their successor. A co-production with The Play Company (Kate Loewald, Founding Producer) and Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director).

Students from The University of the Arts come together with three of Philadelphia's leading theater artists to bring John Irving's 1985 novel 'The Cider House Rules' to the Merriam Theater stage April 3-5. Johnnie Hobbs Jr. and Aaron Cromie, faculty members in the university's School of Theater Arts, direct the play's first and second parts, respectively.
