The Omaha Community Playhouse recently cast the 1930s and 40s musical All Night Strut! A Jumpin' Jivin' Jam opening March 1, 2013 in the Hawks Mainstage, directed by Susan Baer Collins.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center and Dance Films Association today announced the lineup for the 41st edition of Dance on Camera. Taking place February 1-5, the dance-centric film festival returns to the Film Society for the 17th consecutive year with an exciting and diverse array of dance films, including several premieres.

The holiday windows at Bergdorf Goodman continue their renowned tradition of high fantasy and captivating storytelling. The 2012 windows, entitled "BG Follies of 2012," are inspired by the lavish performances of American popular entertainment of the 1920's and 30's-- the Jazz Age. The windows evoke the glorious era of Art Deco theater palaces re-creating the sumptuous atmosphere of the Ziegfeld Follies, the verve of Busby Berkeley's Hollywood musicals, and the bounce of Vaudeville revues. David Hoey, Senior Director of Visual Presentation and his team devote an entire year to the production of the holiday windows. The windows will officially unveil on Monday, November 19th with one preview window Friday, November 16th. They will remain on display through Thursday, January 3, 2013.

42nd STREET opened last night, October 27th, at Musical Theatre West, and runs for 12 performances through November 11, 2012. As with all Musical Theatre West productions, each show is created from the ground up at its rehearsal studios in Long Beach using a blend of both professional actors from Broadway, Hollywood and national tours, as well as the best in local talent. Am 18. Oktober feiert mit SHOW ME die Show mit dem bisher größten Produktionsbudget Weltpremiere am Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin. FSLC also announced additional titles as part of its Masterworks program, including the Director's Cut of Frank Oz's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, restored versions of Michael Cimino's HEAVEN'S GATE, Laurence Olivier's RICHARD III and Peter Whitehead's THE ROLLING STONES - CHARLING IS MY DARLING - IRELAND 1965, as well as two special sidebar presentations as part of the festival's 50th Anniversary celebration.

Tonight, August 27 at 8:00PM, Mr. Dixon will be performing original compositions as well narrate behind-the-scenes stories from his recent memoir Secrets of A Life On Stage…And Off. Copies of the book will be available to purchase, and a book-signing will take place following the performance, which will take place in Signature's intimate ARK Theatre.
