Transport Group, Giering's 'Crossing Brooklyn' Opens 10/28

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, will present Crossing Brooklyn, a world premiere musical, with music by Jenny Giering and book and lyrics by Laura Harrington, and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (a Drama Desk nominee for Transport Group's The Audience) beginning performances Friday, October 19, at the Connelly Theatre, 220 East 4th Street, between Avenues A and B. The opening has been scheduled for Sunday, October 28.

The Public Theater announced complete casting for the 40th anniversary concert celebration of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical at The Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Directed by Diane Paulus with book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot, HAIR will play for three-nights-only, September 22, 23 & 24 at 7PM as part of Joe's Pub in the Park.

RENT, the critically acclaimed Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning Broadway musical written by Jonathan Larson and directed by Michael Greif that inspired a major motion picture (which was filmed recently in the Bay Area), returns to San Francisco. RENT, celebrating its 10th anniversary on Broadway, is presented as a special attraction on the 2005-2006 Best of Broadway season brought to you by Citibank, under the direction of Carole Shorenstein Hays.
