LA Opera's latest Digital Short, 'let me come in,' will premiere online on April 30. Produced and directed by filmmaker Bill Morrison, 'let me come in' features a new song by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang performed by soprano Angel Blue, one of opera's brightest stars. Hoff-Barthelson Music School's Annual Benefit Recital and Reception, the School's largest fundraising event of the year, takes place on Sunday, April 23, 2017, and features a recital by Carol Wincenc, one of today's greatest flutists, accompanied by the brilliant, young pianist Bryan Wagorn. Wincenc and Wagorn will perform works by Copland, Mozart, Debussy, and Fauré. Hoff-Barthelson flute students, faculty and alumni will join the pair for the final number—a lively baroque concerto for five flutes that will showcase Hoff-Barthelson's musical community at its finest.
