The 2018 BET Awards took place Sunday at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater, Kendrick Lamar taking home to most prizes, for best male hip hop artist and album of the year for “DAMN.” Beyonce was crowned the best female R&B/pop artist, and Cardi B won for best female hip hop artist. Anita Baker received the lifetime achievement award.
TEEN CHOICE 2018 Kicks Off Summer with Second and Final Wave of Nominees

The second and final wave of TEEN CHOICE TM 2018 nominees have been announced and music artists Cardi B and Selena Gomez lead with four nominations each. In film, "The Greatest Showman," "Black Panther" and "Solo: A Star Wars Story" each received four nods. "Riverdale" leads in television with seven nominations, while "Stranger Things" follows with five and "The Bold Type" with four.

FOX returns with the second season of 'The Four: Battle for Stardom' and raises the talent bar as Diddy, Megan Trainer, and DJ Khaled seeks out talent from around the world. Rising Star, Elijah Connor will take the stage on Fox: The Four at 8pm (7pm Ctrl) this Thursday, June 21st, 2018 to battle for stardom. Elijah Connor is a Detroit native Singer-Songwriter, Producer, Actor, and Model. The Musical Genius is the younger cousin of Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Music Legend 'Prince' that has a distinctive sound and unique style that is captivating audiences everywhere. 'Prince music legacy is living through Elijah Connor as he is the last of the family tree to be musically talented,' said Elijah's mom Dr. Janet Connor. Elijah Connor has also been compared to Pop Stars Drake, Chris Brown, and Bruno Mars. Connor was known initially for his roles on- Donald Trump's reality series The Ultimate Merger and NBC/Oxygen Hit Reality Show -Player Gets Played. The Apollo Theater Announces Two New Performances

The Apollo Theater today announced that it will bring to its iconic stage two new performances that continue its commitment to articulating and projecting the African American narrative through arts and culture. In October 2018, The Apollo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of "Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud," the Godfather of Soul James Brown's seminal Black Power anthem, with the premiere of Say It Loud - I'm Black and I'm Proud at 50 under the musical direction of six-time GRAMMY®- Award-winner Christian McBride. In May of 2019, in a co-production between The Apollo, Baltimore Center Stage, and Mosaic Theater, Kelvin Roston Jr. will pay homage to Donny Hathaway in the New York premiere of the one man play Twisted Melodies. Tickets for both productions will go on sale July 1st.

Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall will bring top entertainment to Sam's Town Live! in July, including performances by funk band The Original Lakeside, Filipino recording artist Jed Madela, comedienne K Brosas and celebrated Hawaiian vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and composer Henry Kapono. July entertainment will also feature UFC and WWE viewing parties as well as the Las Vegas Elvis Festival.

Signature Theatre Announces Sizzlin' Summer Nights Cabaret Series

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its air-conditioned doors once again for the annual Sizzlin' Summer Nights Series. Two and a half weeks of live music and performances by Signature favorites and DC area stars. The cabaret series runs July 19 through August 4, with a different performance every night.

This morning Cardi B released her newest video for the smash hit track, “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin. The colorful new video follows just one week after the release of the video for “Be Careful,” which already boasts over 15 million views. Additionally, last month's release of the “Bartier Cardi (feat. 21 Savage)” video, directed by famed artist Petra Collins, has amassed over 21 million views. “Invasion Of Privacy” instantly broke records with the biggest ever first week streams for a debut album and female artist as well as topping the Billboard 200 chart, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, Top Rap Albums and Top Digital Album charts. The acclaimed album entered the record books at the 5th largest streaming debut of all time. Additionally, last night saw Cardi B take home the award for Top Rap Female Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Big Yellow Dog was founded by Co-owner/CEO Carla Wallace and Co-owner Kerry O'Neil. Over the past two decades, the company's roster has been recognized with numerous accolades, including four GRAMMY® Awards; 34 #1 songs; four Song of the Year awards from ACM, BMI, and ASCAP; five ASCAP/BMI Pop awards; and many more. This marks Big Yellow Dog's first label venture.

Comedy Central Expands Its Annual Up Next Showcase at Clusterfest This June

Comedy Central builds on its success of last year's Up Nextshowcase at Clusterfest, featuring the network's rising stars, by including another stand-up showcase and adding a variety showcase. The weekend will highlight over 20 comedians with two separate and distinct stand-up showcases taking place on Friday, June 1, hosted by Chris Redd with special guest Tim Dillon and Saturday, June 2, hosted by Jullian McCollough with special guest Mark Normand; and a brand new variety showcase taking place on Sunday, June 3, hosted by Matthew Broussard. All shows will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in the 415 Comedy Club room.
