Cal Shakes to Continue 41st Season with THE MYSTERY OF IRMA VEP, 8/12-9/6

California Shakespeare Theater continues its 2015 season with groundbreaking playwright Charles Ludlam's high-camp homage to the horror genre, The Mystery of Irma Vep. Directed by Jonathan Moscone in his final production as Cal Shakes Artistic Director, and featuring Danny Scheie and Liam Vincent, The Mystery of Irma Vep plays at the Bruns Amphitheater from August 12 through September 6.

Spring Stage Presents Scintillating and Sexy Dark Comedy VENUS IN FUR

Silver Spring Stage presents Venus in Fur by David Ives, directed by John Dellaporta and produced by Pam Burks, a suspense-packed study of the erotics of power, in which the two participants prove to be seriously, almost scarily adept. Venus in Fur will perform weekends July 10 to August 1, 2015.

Steppenwolf's GRAND CONCOURSE Begins Chicago Premiere Tonight

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the Chicago premiere production of Grand Concourse, a play full of both humor and heart by Heidi Schreck. Directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, the cast features ensemble members Francis Guinan and Tim Hopper sharing the role of Frog and Mariann Mayberry as Shelley with Brittany Uomoleale as Emma and Victor Almanzar as Oscar.
