Serenbe Playhouse Launches 'New Territories' Playwriting Residency This January

Serenbe Playhouse and AIR Serenbe (the artist in residence program at Serenbe) are proud to announce a new play development program unlike any other: the 1st Annual New Territories Playwriting Residency, a Writers-in-Residence Program for Outdoor, Site-Specific Plays. New Territories will bring three playwrights to Chattahoochee Hills, GA to develop new outdoor, site-specific theatre from January 17-30, 2016.

Eccles Center Sets 2015-16 Season

Entertain. Illuminate. Educate. As Park City Performing Arts Foundation has transitioned into Park City Institute, its mission has broadened. This season at The Eccles Center illustrates PCI's efforts to not just entertain, but also to educate and to illuminate. PCI sets the tone for a 'thinky' Eccles Center season with Edward Snowden opening the line-up on December 5 (via closed video feed). As always, the season includes an eclectic mix of live dance, music, authors, speakers, family shows, spectacles, up-and-comers and well-established legends.

Continuing its ongoing efforts of supporting the development of new musicals and plays under its SigWorks program, Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA is currently workshopping SCKBSTD by Grammy Award-winning composer/lyricist Bruce Hornsby, lyricist Chip deMatteo and book writer Joe Calarco (Shakespeare's R&J, Walter Cronkite is Dead) based on an original book by Clay McLeod Chapman (rest area, The Tribe Trilogy). The workshop will culminate in an invitation only presentation.

Tony Bennett to Headline 4th Annual TD James Moody Jazz Festival at NJPAC, 11/7-15

New Jersey Performing Arts Center is proud to announce the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, headlined by the legendary Tony Bennett, from November 7-15, 2015. With help from NJPAC Jazz Advisor Christian McBride, this festival promises to be one of the largest gatherings for jazz fans on the East Coast, showcasing all-star line-ups with some of the country's best musicians, such as Dianne Reeves, Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings and the Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition. Now in its fourth year, the festival offers nine days of concerts, panel discussions and workshops around Newark, in honor of saxophonist, bebop pioneer, and Newark native James Moody.
