Philadelphia Theatre Company announces the cast of City of Nutterly Love: Funny as Bell!, a co-production of Philadelphia Theatre Company and Chicago's famed The Second City, running July 8 through July 26 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). The six-member cast combines three performers from Chicago and three performers from Philadelphia in a hilarious spoof of all things 'Philadelphia.'

The stage will brighten with Philadelphia Theatre Company's mainstage season finale Grey Gardens, book by Doug Wright, music by Scott Frankel, and lyrics by Michael Korie, on May 22 - June 28 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets). Directed by Lisa Peterson, the ensemble cast features Todd Almond, Cole Burden, Kim Carson, Maggie Fitzgerald, Joy Franz, James Ijames, John Jellison, Anastasia Korbal, and Hollis Resnik.

BOEING-BOEING, ON GOLDEN POND & More Set For Act II Playhouse's 2009-10 Season

Act II Playhouse is proud to announce its 2009-10 season. The four-show lineup kicks off with the laugh-out-loud 2008 Tony winner for Best Revival, Boeing-Boeing by Marc Camoletti, followed by Ernest Thompson's beloved classic, On Golden Pond. Act II is also proud to present the world premiere of Philadelphia playwright Bruce Graham's newest play, Any Given Monday, a co-production with Theatre Exile; followed by Neil Bartram and Brian Hill's new musical about friendship, The Story of My Life.

Alliance Theatre Lab Announces 2009/2010 Season

The Alliance Theatre Lab returns to the South Florida theatre scene with the announcement of its 2009/2010 season. The Alliance, 'dedicated to producing contemporary dramatic works which give voice to the outsider,' is preparing to bring its vision to the Miami area with four works: Swimming in the Shallows by Adam Bock (Fall 2009), Orphans by Lyle Kessler (Winter 2010), Coyote on a Fence by Bruce Graham (Spring 2010), and Martin McDonagh's A Skull in Connemara (Summer 2010).

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces its 2009-2010 mainstage season, highlighted by a world premiere by Terrence McNally, a Tony Award-winning musical and a pre-Broadway production. Expanding to a five-play series, the season features the world premiere of Terrence McNally's Golden Age, the six-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza by Craig Lucas and Adam Guettel, Lorenzo Pisoni's multi-award winner Humor Abuse, August Wilson's first major play Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, the dark comedy thriller Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck, and a special summer comedy revue, City of Nutterly Love: Funny as Bell!, co-produced with Chicago's The Second City.

Terrence McNally's Newest Play, The Golden Age to Premiere in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Theatre Company will present the world premiere of Terrence McNally's newest play The Golden Age as part of its 2009-2010 season. Following its run in Philadelphia, the PTC production will move to the Kennedy Center as part of its 'Terrence McNally's Nights at the Opera' Festival.

Urban Stages Continues 25th Season By Reviving Old Premieres

Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founder/Artistic Director, Lauren Schmiedel, Managing Director) will continues its 25th Season celebration with a look at its past premiers. Over the next eight weeks Urban Stages will revive six of the best World and New York Premieres the company has mounted over the past 25 years. The performances will take place on Mondays at 6PM at Urban Stages Theatre (259 West 30th Street) at 6PM, beginning March 9 through April 20, 2009.
