New York Stage and Film's annual Winter Gala was held yesterday, Sunday, December 9, 2012, at The Plaza Hotel (770 Fifth Avenue, New York City), honoring Tony Award Winning producer Roger Horchow (Annie), and Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award Winning actor Tony Shalhoub ("Monk"). On Thursday, December 6, BroadwayWorld.com was there for the opening night of Lincoln Center Theater's 75th Anniversary production of the Clifford Odets classic Golden Boy, directed by Bartlett Sher, at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44 Street), the same theatre where the play premiered in 1937.

Tony Shalhoub, Roberta Reardon & More to Attend 2012 HOLA Awards Tonight, 10/8

Attending the 13th Annual Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) Awards presented by Delta Air Lines tonight, October 8, 2012 will be SAG-AFTRA elected leadership reps that include national SAG-AFTRA Co- President, Roberta Reardon and national SAG-AFTRA Co-Treasurer and Co-Secretary, Amy Aquino. Also joining the celebration will be Tony Plana, Tony Shalhoub, Brooke Adams and CNN's Jane Vélez-Mitchell. A special tribute to the late Lupe Ontiveros will be given by Latin Heat Editor and co-host of 'HOLA L.A.' Bel Hernández. Odalys Molina and Jorge Ramos will serve as the Masters of Ceremonies of this year's HOLA Awards.

Tony Shalhoub, Debra Monk and More Star in Reading of James Lapine's Adaptation of Moss Hart's ACT ONE

According to its website, the Vineyard Arts Project just held two 'in-progress' readings on July 18 and 20 of Moss Hart's Act One, adapted for the stage by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and director James Lapine and commissioned by the Lincoln Center Theater. The readings starred Tony Shalhoub ('Monk', Lend Me a Tenor), Debra Monk (Steel Pier, Redwood Curtain), Chuck Cooper (The Life, Caroline, or Change) and David Turner (On A Clear Day You Can See Forever).

California girls BEACH GIRL5 are preparing to make waves worldwide with the November 30th US release and January 10th UK release of the club banging single, SCRATCH. The Monte Carlo-themed gala, ABINGDON PLAYS TO WIN, benefited the Abingdon Theatre Company -- beginning its 18th season on Friday, October 29 with the New York premiere of Reggie Cheong-Leen's THE NANJING RACE -- included salutations to Mr. Brustein by his esteemed colleagues and the presentation of an AB*IE Award for Excellence in Theatre.
