Broadway's WAITRESS at the Hobby Cemter On Sale Friday, 9/28

Mischer Neurosciences at the Hobby Center is thrilled to announce that individual tickets for WAITRESS go on sale to the pubic on Friday, September 28 at 10 am.  WAITRESS will play the Hobby Center for a limited one-week engagement January 29 - February 3, 2019.

The Lion King is one of the epic Broadway shows that everyone should see at least once in their life. It's also one of the few stage productions based on a Disney movie that actually works. They never make the mistake of many movie-to-stage adaptations: sacrificing the heart of the story for the spectacle. It is a huge production. From Pride Rock to an elephant graveyard, the sets are so creative.

New York Youth Symphony Now Accepting Applications For Musical Theater Composition Program

Now entering its 56th season, the New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) is launching a Musical Theater Composition (MTC) program, to be led by newly-appointed director Anna K. Jacobs. In a partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts, this new program aims to diversify the world of musical theater by creating opportunities for young composers to have their compositions workshopped and performed by both peers and professionals.
