Kathy Najimy Stars In Benefit Reading Of NATURAL SHOCKS By Lauren Gunderson

Actress and activist Kathy Najimy is teaming up with America's Most Produced Playwright Lauren Gunderson for a benefit reading at the Minetta Lane Theater on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 7pm. Presented by the WP Theater with Erica Rotstein and Christina Wallace, the reading of Gunderson's new play NATURAL SHOCKS is in support of the Ms. Foundation's programs and grants that address domestic violence and gun violence against women. Tickets range from $100-1000, with discounted tickets available for students ($25) and a limited number of $50 early bird tickets available through April 16. Due to the success of WAITRESS' "Cast Album Karaoke" on Broadway, following the Friday, April 6 evening performance at the Music Hall at Fair Park, audience members will have a chance to sing on the Music Hall stage. Now's the chance to live your Broadway dream! Interested audience members will be chosen at random for the chance to sing one minute of any song in the show accompanied by the musical director following that evening's performance.
Fox Theatre Marquee Club Set To Open May 17

The Fox Theatre today announced the Marquee Club presented by Lexus grand opening is set for Thursday, May 17, 2018 with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for inaugural members. The $10 million expansion is the largest one-time revitalization effort of the Fox Theatre since its 1929 grand opening, as the Marquee Club footprint includes the northwest corner of the building that was previously leased retail space.

Broadway In Boston, Boston's mainstage for Broadway, has unveiled the upcoming 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway Season during its annual spring announcement event at the Boston Opera House. Eleven theatrical productions will take center stage at the Boston Opera House and the Emerson Colonial Theatre. This score was something I didn't appreciate as a kid because I was too scared to watch the movie again, and I'm glad she had the sense to make me sing it. It's just gorgeous. Fast forward again to this past weekend when I saw THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME presented live at Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS). Stunning is the word that comes to mind.
