Overture Center revealed its 2018/19 season, which features nearly 100 performances, including seven new-to-Overture-Hall Broadway titles and 23 new Overture Presents shows.

Actress and activist Kathy Najimy is teaming up with America's Most Produced Playwright Lauren Gunderson for a benefit reading at the Minetta Lane Theater on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 7pm. Presented by the WP Theater with Erica Rotstein and Christina Wallace, the reading of Gunderson's new play NATURAL SHOCKS is in support of the Ms. Foundation's programs and grants that address domestic violence and gun violence against women. Tickets range from $100-1000, with discounted tickets available for students ($25) and a limited number of $50 early bird tickets available through April 16. The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center will celebrate its past, present and future with this year's Annual Chairman's Gala and the new Chairman's Gala After Party on Thursday, May 24. 

Due to the success of WAITRESS' "Cast Album Karaoke" on Broadway, following the Friday, April 6 evening performance at the Music Hall at Fair Park, audience members will have a chance to sing on the Music Hall stage. Now's the chance to live your Broadway dream! Interested audience members will be chosen at random for the chance to sing one minute of any song in the show accompanied by the musical director following that evening's performance.

The Fox Theatre today announced the Marquee Club presented by Lexus grand opening is set for Thursday, May 17, 2018 with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for inaugural members. The $10 million expansion is the largest one-time revitalization effort of the Fox Theatre since its 1929 grand opening, as the Marquee Club footprint includes the northwest corner of the building that was previously leased retail space.

Broadway legend Andrew Lloyd Webber's high-octane Broadway and West End hit SCHOOL OF ROCK - THE MUSICAL is coming to the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center April 24-29, 2018. 

In January 2018, Broadway Across Canada announced the three musical productions coming to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre as part of the company's 2018-2019 season. "We wanted to pull out all the stops for our 20th anniversary season," says Broadway Across Canada's vice-president, Shana Levin. "The shows we're bringing include powerful true stories about community, empowerment, and the power of the human spirit," she says. Hennepin Theatre Trust announced Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES, the spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, makes its Minneapolis premiere as part of the 2017-2018 Bank of America Broadway on Hennepin season June 26-July 1, 2018 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis).

Broadway In Boston, Boston's mainstage for Broadway, has unveiled the upcoming 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway Season during its annual spring announcement event at the Boston Opera House.  Eleven theatrical productions will take center stage at the Boston Opera House and the Emerson Colonial Theatre.  Over 1500 people from around the city gathered for the annual celebration including Broadway In Boston's Season ticket holders, group leaders, arts and business leaders, city officials, partners from around the city, sponsors and the Boston media.  Highlights from the day included live performances from cast members of DEAR EVAN HANSEN, ROALD DAHL'S CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, SCHOOL OF ROCK and A BRONX TALE.

Hamilton will headline the 2018-2019 FAIRWINDS Broadway in Orlando series at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This score was something I didn't appreciate as a kid because I was too scared to watch the movie again, and I'm glad she had the sense to make me sing it. It's just gorgeous. Fast forward again to this past weekend when I saw THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME presented live at Jefferson Performing Arts Society (JPAS). Stunning is the word that comes to mind.
