The Weight Band, the re-imagined band of legendary rock group The Band, will perform Sunday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m. at South Orange Performing Arts Center. The Weight Band is dedicated to honoring the legacy of The Band and is comprised of former members and those who have worked closely with The Band over the decades. Audiences will enjoy an unforgettable performance and hear timeless hits like 'The Weight,' 'Up On Cripple Creek,' 'Ophelia,' 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down,' 'Rag Mama Rag' and so many others. The Chicago Sun Times proclaimed 'The Weight carries on where The Band left off.'
Now in it's third week, Martin McDonagh's The Lonesome West is bringing large and appreciative audiences to the Everyman Theatre in Cork City. This blackest of black comedies, the third play in McDonagh's seminal work The Leenane Trilogy, is brilliantly realised in this production. The Everyman is maintaining its tradition of presenting top-quality theatre with this offering directed by it's Artistic Director, Julie Kelleher. It opened to huge critical acclaim in late July and continues until Saturday, 25th August.
