Storm Theater to Stage THE SURPRISE, Beginning 5/8

The Storm Theater Company announces the final production of the Spring 2015 season, G.K. Chesterson's The Surprise, adapted by Peter Dobbins. The Surprise will play May 8th through June 13th at the theater which is located at 114th Street and Morningside Drive (in the Church of the Notre Dame).

FUNNY...SHEESH has announced the production of Jason S. Grossman's LOVE ME, directed by Rachel Klein. LOVE ME will play a limited engagement at The 4th Street Theatre, (83 East 4th Street, New York, NY). Performances begin tonight, April 30 and continue through Saturday, May16. Opening Night is Saturday, May2 (7:30 p.m.).

Abingdon Theatre to Round Out 22nd Season with MALLORCA Premiere This Summer

Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 85 new plays since 1994 -- concludes its 22nd Season with the world premiere of MALLORCA by two-time Emmy nominee Sheldon Bull ("Newhart"), with previews set to begin May 29, prior to an official press opening on June 7, in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Donald Brenner (March Madness) directs this award-winning comedy set in New York City and Spain.

This black comedy was a finalist for the New York Stage and Film Founders Award 2012. Directed by Jerry Heymann, the show began previews January 15 and opened on January 22 at Urban Stages.

The Storm Theatre Company has announced that they will kick off 2015 with a production of the play GIGI by Anita Loos adapted from the novella by Anita Loos. This will mark the first major revival of the show which opened in 1951 and which launched the career of Audrey Hepburn.
