The New York Hot Jazz Camp returns for its second year May 15th-21st, 2017 (18+). Building on last year's success they have an announced an addition of a youth camp April 10th-14th, 2017 (13-17 yrs) during NYC public schools' spring break.
The 59th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival wrapped up Sunday, September 18 after a weekend of debut artists, returning masters and new favorites. Over 36,600 fans came through the gates of the Monterey County Fairgrounds during the weekend of September 16-18. The weekend featured a festival record-breaking 115 performances of diverse styles of music from around the globe, from tributes and piano trios; big bands to modern jazz, Cuban, blues and fusion groups, mixed with historic conversations, films, and exhibits.

On Saturday, June 25, a day-long blowout celebration of New Orleans-inspired jazz commences at CENTRAL PARK SUMMERSTAGE with the debut of the NEW YORK HOT JAZZ FESTIVAL ALL-STARS under the direction of multi-award winning trumpeter / vocalist BRIA SKONBERG. The All-Stars band features New York Hot Jazz Festival alumni including multi-reed virtuoso ANAT COHEN; Grammy-winning big band leader VINCE GIORDANO (as heard on Boardwalk Empire), on double bass and tuba; drummer JOE SAYLOR (member of Jon Batiste's Stay Human, the house band on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert); stride and ragtime specialist DALTON RIDENHOUR on piano; banjo and vocals by bluesman and hot-jazzer BLIND BOY PAXTON; plus a SURPRISE SPECIAL GUEST on trombone as well as other guests to round out the ensemble.

Following the success of the previous two festivals, the 3rd Annual New York Hot Jazz Festival -- produced by the impresario Michael 'Misha' Katsobashvili, performer Bria Skonberg, and composer/producer Patrick Soluri (of Prohibition Productions and The Salon) -- returns to The Players this year and promises some of the biggest stars of the Hot Jazz and swing scenes in a summit of uptown and downtown talent spanning three generations.
